Wow thank you for sharing this.
Always liked this song but never realised all the detail behind it ie Alan’s drumming and the layers of guitar.
I always thought that there was a promo with an extended outro with the solo but I realise there is not now.
It sounds great to hear it build up like that

With a pair of monitor headphones I can hear how dynamic and punchy the multi-tracks are. A better sounding Be Here Now remix is definitely possible.

If anyone's interested, this was recorded at Ridge Farm Studios in Surrey the week of October 13th, 1997 in between the brief trip to NYC and the start of the European leg of the tour. Paolo Hewitt mentions in Forever the People that Noel sang Flashbax because Liam was "incapacitated" due to being on a 2-day bender, so I wonder if this means that they did Street Fighting Man first during the session before Liam bowed out. Otherwise, we would have had the Noel sung version on the single that we hear on that DAT recording.
