This thread is a new low point. A few new names for the ignore list surely. Gross.

if they are getting divorced now, they have probably been separated for a pretty long time, but at least one year.

Why did 6 people like this this post? Because sentiment on marriage is changing, especially as society becomes less religious. Monogamy makes less sense by the decade. I am talking about about kids.

From my point of view, with overpopulation a big concern and the impacts of climate change beginning to be felt globally, more people ought to consider abstaining from having children on moral principle. I don't see the world becoming carbon neutral anytime soon. My generations children will massively suffer in 50 years, if not sooner. I don't wish to contribute to the problem. An easy choice.

Up until 2020, he was out of the house more than he was in. Then Covid forced them together - it’s not surprising that would put a strain on a relationship. He gave the impression of being in awe of her beauty and sophistication and they both love going out. He always made comments about how she didn’t like his music . He admits to problems with intimacy and largely estranged from his family. These things take a toll on a marriage.

Blimey, this thread took a surreal turn. I don't see anything surreal about the data. Somebody questioned likes on a post and I gave my reasons. Whether or not it's their reasons, I don't know. Having written on the consequences of climate change, it's an important topic that's often on my mind. I'd like for humanity to survive the damage we've caused.

First of all, like I said, him hating kids and climate change and deeper thinking about why someone doesn't want kids, are two completely different things. You are talking bullshit, it doesn't matter if you're wrong or right, that was not the point and you are going in the wrong direction. No, I am not a climate change denier, but that doesn't have to do anything with this. My point is that is sad that someone wrote that he hate kids and people here are liking that post.

maybe we can stop with all the speculation as we don't know shit about their personal lives and this is not the comment section of the Daily Mail or the s*n
Thanks

In all honesty I don't see Noel going from one disaster (divorce) straight to another one (Reunion with Liam).
Especially when it's going to be forced by media/ fans and the other fella's Twitter rants, which is, let's face it, a matter of time.

It doesn't matter if I'm right or wrong? Errrm. Hard disagree. It matters greatly whether my opinion is supported by an adequate amount of data. And that data is overwhelming in regards to climate change. As far as its relevance to the discussion, I clearly laid out the connection, and rather than responding to it, acknowledging my view and disagreeing with it with actual points and reasons, you decided to dismiss my opinion entirely. A bit rude.
You might be interpreting that persons child hating statement as "Person X wants to punch little Johnny in the face because he just hates kids." I think that's probably not what they meant. My interpretation of the statement is "The thought of dedicating the next 18 years of life to caring for little Johnny seems absolutely miserable and soul-sucking and isn't for me." Not everybody should have children, nor should they be shamed for not wanting them or pressured by society into having them. I don't see anything wrong with people who feel that way. Do you?

You seem reluctant to share your reasoning or to engage with opposing views (beyond offhandedly dismissing them and making broad judgements).
Why bother expressing an opinion on the topic in the first place if you weren't looking for an honest discussion?

maybe we can stop with all the speculation as we don't know shit about their personal lives and this is not the comment section of the Daily Mail or the s*n Thanks Yeah… Totally… An open forum frequented by the biggest oasis fans on the planet discussing major news must be a shocking development for you. Essentially every thread has wild opinions and comments with little to no personal knowledge about the topic. Expecting or hoping a subject like this to have no speculation is delusional.

As a married man with an wonderful kid I gotta say try it if the other person is the right fit. Otherwise just don’t because kids change everything and you need to be 100% in it. Give everything to them.
And If you don’t feel like it don’t do it it’s your life and perfectly understandable. No one should tell anyone else what to do, one way or another (as long as no one is hurt in said situation).
Most rock stars are not fit to be in such a life, though because it can creatively slow them down and in the end make them unhappy.
I just hope his kids won’t suffer. As for Noel and Sara, who cares really they are both grown ups and can handle that especially Noel. They are public figures so we can comment and speculate all we want.

I'm totally shocked about Noel and Sara as I never saw that coming. It's always sad especially when kids are involved and I hope that they're all ok. As for Liam, yeah, he's been quiet on Twitter over the past few days and I would be very surprised if he bashes Noel on his divorce. Well at least I hope he doesn't and as for an Oasis reunion I would be surprised if there was one to be honest as Noel and Liam will have to sort out everything between them first and the question is would they even be able to?
