I saw two lovely squirrels outside my window first thing this morning. That's the first time I've seen any outside mine for a good few weeks.

Springwatch starts on 29th May, it's finally been announced. Also, they're making another wildlife series with the spy cameras which will be shown in the summer. I'm pleased about this as I love those series and whoever makes those spy cameras do a really good job.

Nearly two thirds of elephant habitat across Asia has been lost. This is terrible news and I'm sick of humans taking away an animals habitat.

Awww, I saw a lovely little blue tit outside my kitchen window at dinner time today. They're such pretty little birds.

Some good news, tiger numbers are on increasing in India. It's always good to read something positive about wildlife for a change. There was a double page article about this in the paper the other day. However, sadly they still think that tigers are in trouble in India.

I saw that lovely deer this morning on my travels. It ran out straight in front of me from next door. I gave it some room but of course it ran off as there was someone coming the other way. It was lovely to see it again as I don't seen it very often but I'm glad that it's still around.

I read on Focusing On Wildlife that a female zoo keeper was mauled by a 16ft crocodile in a reptile park in Australia. Aparently the park allows visitors to get up close with the crocodiles and can swim with them and pose with baby crocs and take photos with them which is absolutely stupid as swimming with them is asking for trouble.

Good to see a local business being threatened because the local vet next door is rotating his rescued brumby orphans (Majority had parents hit by car) in a deal with Jindabyne sanctuary on the outskirts of town. That's what I am behind, not culling

How bloody stupid can some people get, I read on Focusing On Wildlife that two Aussies waded through a croc-infested waters with a beer, a smoke and a gun just days after a publican was killed in a vicious attack while fishing. Honestly do they really think that they're clever, total idiots. Apparently it was posted on TikTok.

That new wildlife series with the spy cameras which I mentioned is on in the next few weeks as I saw it advertised as coming soon. This time it's about sea creatures so it should be good.

Progress, the Co-Op has agreed to end overcrowded chickens conditions for the 51 million chickens in its fresh supply chain. However, it's not enough and a lot more needs to be done. Sainsbury recently said that they would do the same thing but again it doesn't go far enough and a lot more needs to be done.

Some good news, the UK government are to extend the ban on the sale of ivory from animals such as orcas, hippos and other animals. There's already a ban on elephant ivory, however, let's hope that the government keep their promise.

Some bad news, a legal challenge by The Humamne Society have lost their case against the government in the high court. The court dismissed the use of over grown chickens in the UK was illegal. The good news is the Humamne League are now looking at other ways to carry on with the case. Sometimes I wonder what's wrong with these judges and there's plenty of evidence supporting that overgrown chickens do suffer.

Some sad news, two cheetah cubs have died and a third is in a critical condition at a national park in India. Another cub died on Tuesday. The cubs were the first to be born in India in more than 70 years after the animals were officially extinct in the county but a female cheetah was reintroduced last year from Namibia.

The cubs were the first to be born in India in more than 70 years after the animals were officially extinct in the county but a female cheetah was reintroduced last year from Namibia. Many big cat cubs die in the wild for different reasons which is always sad and I know it might be nature but it still breaks my heart.
