Today is international forest day. We should be looking after them and not destroying them.

In the news today there was a story about a cat who some how managed to get stuck in an engine of a neighbours car, the car owner took his child to school and the cat actually survived the run. That's the trouble with animals they don't know the dangers which they can get themselves into.

I saw two lovely Long Tailed Tits on that bush outside mine. It's a mystery what they get off it.

Burrowing badgers have halted some train service in The Hague due to them digging into a dike carrying rails. Such wonderful creatures though and they're one of my favourites.

I read on Focusing On Wildlife that a racoon had to be rescued from a disregarded peanut butter jar in New England. It a reminder that we should all dispose our rubbish properly instead of just carelessly disregarding it.

I haven't seen anything of those lovely long tailed tits today sadly. Hopefully they'll be back soon.

This is not good, I read on Focusing On Wildlife that Nepal's vultures, recovering from a poisoning crisis, fly into another.

I'm sure you're aware of David Attenborough's latest series Wild Isles on BBC. Check out the first episode and the first scenes with the orca whales in Shetland (a great place where I originally come from).

Yeah, I know it's on thanks but I'm waiting until it's finished on TV so that I can watch the whole series on IPlayer.

Another bill which passed through Parliament on the same day as the Trophy Ban one which I forgot to mention was the Animals Low-Welfare Activities Abroad Bill which now also goes to the Lords before it becomes law.

I read on Focusing On Wildlife that a three month old white tiger cub is fighting for life after being dumped in a trash can outside a Greek zoo. What the hell is wrong with some people.

According to a report I read, rhino poaching has fallen. However, sadly it's not really good news as it'll always go on and these animals are already endangered.

I read on Focusing On Wildlife about how a security guard rescued a squirrel which was clogged inside a drain. It's always good to know that there's some good people in the world who do care.

There's a couple of lovely doves which have been hanging around here the past week or so. It's always nice to see them. There's a lot of feral pigeons here as well. They're nice colours.

Red wolves are beautiful creatures but sadly there's only less than 20 left in the wild due to all the usual. However, experts are trying to save them but it's not easy.

I recently as someone in their late 20's to now early 30's went back to University. I did a degree in Wildlife Conservation and Animal Management at level 6 and spent some time at a wildlife reserve in South Africa. If nothing else it made me utterly despise humanity and how we just roll over and let the powers that be destroy our planet and natural ecosystems. I started the course because I love animals, I foster cats and dogs with kittens and puppies at local shelters who are at capacity but I came out of that degree with a healthy hatred of powerful and greedy people. The trouble is there's absolutely nothing any of us can do about it. We all, no matter where we come from can do all we can but so long as the sociopaths that run every country in the world are in power it won't make a jot of difference. The whole of the Uk, the whole of Europe and by some fucking miracle the whole of the USA can implement laws and policy decisons that help the climate it won't make any difference. So long as there are authoritarian dictators in charge of Russia ,China and other smaller polluters like India chucking c02 into the atmosphere it's not going to change. All you can do is focus on making things better on a smaller scale and local to you, improve the lives of the local pet popluation to you and get involved in wildlife projects near you. Maybe by some lucky chance the likes of Winnie the Pooh and Putin will contract an aggressive and nasty form of rectal cancer but don't count on it and if they do they'll just be replaced by someone just as awful. Humans are in general good beings but we always allow the worst of us to rise to power. Our planet is screwed and for me our sycophantic nature and need to worship and follow 'leaders' will be the death of us all and all that is natural and beautiful in the world.

That's true about our planet, it is screwed and the problem is not enough people care. Humans can be bastards when it comes to animals and wildlife with they way they treat them. The problem with countries like China there's no animal cruelty laws over there and they just treat animals like objects.

Deer are one of my favourite animals, they're just so lovely. Sadly though reindeer are in decline now which I'm not really surprised by.

I read on Focusing On Wildlife about how an elephant momentarily causes traffic as it blocks the road for a crossing calf. Sometimes I wish that animals wouldn't get in the road in case they get run over as some drivers don't care.
