Ah the annoying thing is, I can almost picture the name of the brand now! If you try on Mr Porter, and look under 'white' in trainers/sneakers, you might have a shot there mate.

this is something i will never understand. when you become rich, you kind of losing any attachments to reality when it comes to money. he could probably get white adidas sneakers for 1/3 the price and they look exactly the same. why would you buy these? why?

Fwiw, £280 isn't that much for a pair of shoes like, if people are willing to pay it. LG wears plenty of Common Projects gear too I think. Also, Noel wears a lot of Adidas/Adidas Spezial stuff - but he'll probably get it for free.

He's been wearing those for a good few years, so could easily be an older shoe.

I guess when you're super rich, you just slide the decimal place to the left a bit. So you see £290.00 as £29.00 Either that or you feel superior buying expensive stuff that the great unwashed can't get their hands on...

Or you get to the point where you see the value in decent shoes. In theory a well made pair of £290 shoes will last longer than 10 pairs of £29 shoes. I'm not saying that this is simply frugality by Noel, but it's a handy quirk of having disposable income to spend less in the longer term on the same items.

Why are these called “trainers”? What exactly do you train for in them?? Is that a UK term for white shoes?
