First impression: I like the vibe and I think it's the type of sound Noel needs to have today: more varied, with a wider range of influences than in the first two albums, but still in his style. That said, sounds like a great 8/10 album track (e.g. a la WTSRTS), but not like a first single. I was expecting something with more immediate hooks

Quoting myself from the other thread: It's catchy and groovy, very '80s-influenced indeed: now I get the Cure reference! The synths are a bit Smalltown Boy. Hints of New Order too. I like it a lot. But let's be honest, Johnny Marr's guitar elevates it to another level in the second half. When the riff kicks in the song starts to take off: it's a bit flat in the first half. I must be the only one that actually likes the drum beat: it sounds like an '80s drum machine. It fits the mood.

I was hoping he would do an acoustic album this time, this just seems like a leftover from his dance EPs, which I didn't like. Hopefully there is better on the album. I'd like proper drums too.

It's got a basic structure and pretty simple melody for Noel's standards, but I do think there are quite a few elements that make it work The 80s darkish vibe, the obsessive sounds, Marr's licks, the piano, the catchiness of the middle eight which while not immediately mindblowing just gets stuck I like it, I expect better stuff from the album, but I'm digging this as a little taste of what's to come

Hand In Glove and very 80's vibe.
I quite like it.

Noel cant seem to escape his 80s obsession. It was fine for one album (CY) which for me is his less good record. Then he upped his game on the EP, making his 80s obsession way better with menacing tracks and inventive bits, but also some very good melodies.
Pretty Boy, meh. Not really going anywhere, i actually dont mind the chorus but the verse are so f Lazy. Marr guitar is a nice addition. Production is not my cup of tea. I just dont like that sound.
Was also hoping for a different sound this time, something maybe more 70s, or anything else really that he hasn't done already. And maybe we will get it on the rest of the record. WBTM was all over the place, CY too (for different reasons), so maybe we will get something bigger, bolder. Noel knows lead singles are for another target, the rest of the record is another story.
4/10 for me right now.

I love it; but then again, I love everything he’s done (well, maybe not The Good Rebel).

From While the song... to the end of the record >>>> 80s sound. Not the same 80s, you got pop, rock, early and middle 80s, but it's all 80s. Do the Damage and heat of the moment too to some extent.

It's not bad, but not great. It doesn't really go anywhere. 5/10 filler track if we are all being honest.

Prob about a 3/10 for me. Really wish he would drip this “electronic” shite 😂 Of course that’s just my opinion

Love it.
More of the same please Noel.
The bass sounds like something straight of The Cure. The minimal drum machine sound is very much in the vibe of track. I like how he hasn't gone for some cheap and easy "classic Noel" type hook on the vocals too.
I hope the rest of the album is like this.

4/10. Like the "vibe" of the song, just think the chorus is very weak. Not a big enough hook anywhere.

I like it but it feels like it's missing something. When the songs starts to build up it goes back to the same middle of the road 80s sound I was hoping he would move from the 80s

It's good, really like how he can write / produce such a variation of different songs now. Keeps it interesting, it has a good a catchy chorus, love the grove of the bass and the electronic drumbeat. Can't wait for the album.

5 years for a cellphone ringtone drumbeat, horrible vocal and uneventful lyrics. 2 outta 10 and that is only because of Marrs guitar which isn't anything special on this either.

My thoughts on this one is what I guess that NG would have thought of the song 10-15 years ago.

Sounds alright to me to be honest, decent Noel solo effort. The video on the other hand is not doing the song any favours.
