I said this over on the threead for Noel's next album, but so not to derail it... I'm thinking that with the supergroup planned Liam will ditch the songwriters he currently has for album #4. So with that in mind, what do we want? Obviously mostly songs that would work for the gigs...

Personally, I’d like an album filled with tunes like The River, I’m Free, Greedy Soul (live), Invisible Sun, etc… I guess mostly a heavier, more raw vibe overall.

I certainly hope that Liam doesn't join this super group he keeps going on about and I hope he'll continue as a solo artist.
I think he should continue in the direction of Come On You Know.

Really fast rock that's got a really shit mix. Completely overproduced and far too long. But with excellent song writing.

I would like an album with less effect on vocals and guitars. I would like it to be more rock and loud, but not with too much produced sound. On the last record there is too much production and I can't fully enjoy the songs or the voice. Liam is great with no effect on the voice. Just a slight pitch correction and nothing else would do. Guitars, bass and drums should also sound more like a live session to create a great record. They should take inspiration from the Rockfield studio live sound to make the next record better. This is what I want.

Less poppy, less of the introspective Lennonesque ballads. Darker - more punky, more filthy rockn'roll.

All I can go on are the songs I actually still listen to after all these years and it’s probably like 4-5 songs: Once, WMWN, I’ve All I Need, Misunderstood, and TGFGU. Yeah, it’s mostly the sad songs, but those evoke the most emotion out of me.

For him not to make one tbh. He’s done three which are not very good in my and many others views and I’d wager good £ he isn’t happy with them either, especially the last one.
Best off doing Live gigs singing Oasis songs and just staying with that, his Live gigs are at their best when he sings Oasis, the solo stuff is when everyone takes their toilet break when I’ve been.
