I always wonder why there are so many handwritten lyrics in these kind of auctions, why did noel wrote so much of them? I understand maybe one or two when he was writing the songs, and some more for the rest of band members when recording the song, but it seems to be lots of them.

I think these items are all from fan collections and not directly from Noel
The Custom Silver Sparkle Gibson Les Paul Florentine Guitar is owned by a fan and was taken to Brian Cannon’s shop to be photographed. Has an interesting story behind it.
Liam’s Parka he wore at the Finsbury Park gig in 2002 was given away in a competition. Liam has confirmed this in an interview with Dave Berry on Absolute Radio

I think the answer is that many of them are counterfeit. The story behind these ones in this auction doesn’t stack up There are signed vinyls and proofs in there that are clearly fake aswell

I think the answer is that many of them are counterfeit. The story behind these ones in this auction doesn’t stack up There are signed vinyls and proofs in there that are clearly fake aswell How do you know they're fake? Experience as a collector. Nobody can be 100% certain of course but my instinct is that they are not genuine and several expert collectors agree. I discussed it on the day this went live on the Oasis Collectors Group. On the proof, the Liam G signature is not authentic. A poor effort basically. Some others might be real but I’m not convinced. On the vinyl the Noel sig is questionable and the non Gallagher sigs are all over the place. As for the handwritten lyrics I would want some rock solid provenance. Again, serious collectors are sceptical around many examples. The auction houses cannot be relied upon in that regard
