since it’s been confirmed marr plays much of the lead guitar on HFB4, why not have a double bill, marr + HFB, where marr opens and then plays guitar on his songs live with the band… wishful thinking?!

Noel said Johnny's on about half his new album didn't he? Would make sense to do a tour together if he is, make me even more broke as well

Unlikely I’d imagine, unless he was having enough creative input to satisfy him.
Mind you, The Cribs are the best British bands since Blur and Marr made The Cribs worse, they got back to their best when they got shot of him.
I thought Modest Mouse did their better work without Marr too.
It just shows being a very good musician doesn’t mean you can always be a good fit. I think he could probably compliment Noel’s music well though, I’d be interested to see them collaborate more.

I don't think he needs to be on for more than 2-3 songs. His own set would go down well with our fanbase and shift a few more copies of Fever Dreams.

Financially it doesn't make that much sense.
Noel will sell 90% of an arena tour out with Matt Morgan on bongos as support.
Johnny can do large enough theatres sold out- apart from them having loads of craic together, dunno what the benefits would be.
