Do you believe the hype? I do. I just saw them at a 200 capacity venue a week ago and they blew me away. The album is an instant classic with pretty much no filler, hooktastic and a wide range of songs. It's great to feel excited about a new young band again.

The debut justifies the hype as far as I'm concerned. I thought it was excellent. Really solid throughout. They've got hooks for days and lyrically I think Rhian is connecting to a young audience in a way a lot of other bands aren't.
Favourite to least favourite:
1. Too Late Now - 9 2. Chaise Longue - 9 3. Wet Dream - 9 4. Angelica - 9 5. Ur Mum - 9 6. Being In Love - 8 7. Supermarket - 8 8. Loving You - 8 9. I Donβt Wanna Go Out - 8 10. Piece of Shit - 8 11. Convincing - 8 12. Oh No - 8

Yeah, the singles really stand out amongst everyone else right now, hope they can pull off a second album.

Yeah, they're really good. They make good music, they have a lot of fun performing and they're from the Isle of Wight. How cool is that?

Just found this thread. Heard about Wet Leg a few weeks ago. On first listen, I wasn't sure. It grew on me. They're not the most innovative or most melodic band ever but I like their sound, their guitars are top. And I don't get why they get so much shit on, they're certainly no worse than all those so called "saviors" of british rock we got in the mid 2000's. My fav one is "Wet Dream"

My fav one is "Wet Dream" It's basically Elastica for the 21st century. Good, but isn't reinventing the wheel. We'll see with their second album whenever it comes out. Actually they are one of the best new acts I have heard from the recent years.

They're not reinventing the wheel for sure, but do they pretend otherwise ? Those two girls seem to not take themselves too seriously, which is a good point when you compare it to all those british/irish bands full of posers. Also, I like their approach and production, even though I think it's the kind of band who might have a short life span.

I've heard one or two tracks by them on the radio and they're not bad but I think I'll have to listen to a few more of their songs before I can make my mind up.

2 Grammy awards and 2 Brits. Not that means much to me but it's nice to see some guitar music getting recognition.
