When did Liam, Gem, and Andy first publicly talk about becoming a post-Oasis, post-Noel band (whether or not they had the new name yet)? Since Noel had "left" Oasis several times before, I wonder how long it took for Liam and co to believe it'd finally happened.

Think Liam tweeted about carrying on quite quickly if i remember rightly. Then a lot of talk went on about whether it'd be Oasis 2.0 and eventually they got interviewed and said it'll be a new name.

To be a geek about it, it was November 13, 2009 that Liam announced that LGA had a new project in the works. A week later they announced they'd be recording an album, though there was no band name yet (and the BBC called it a "solo album").

I can remember the Oasis 2.0 name at the time but I'm glad that they didn't use that name in the end. Mind you, it's a pity they couldn't come up with something better than Beady Eye though.
