sorry, what? smoking and drinking are widely known as main risk factors to develop that kind of cancer. bonehead smokes and drinks and for a good while he, from what i can tell, he did it very excessively. is it the cause of his cancer? i can't tell, but given the nature of it, it's very likely that it played a big part. it's like saying a heavy smoker, that got lung cancer, would have gotten it anyway. no, he probably wouldn't have. it's a fact and there's nothing wrong with naming it. actually, it's the right thing to do and i assume bonehead would approve.
so, don't smoke and drink, kids! it's not cool and definitely not healthy.

I’m glad you’ve outed yourself as an utter moron. Do you think anyone needs to hear the ‘I told you so’ stuff. Would you say to him if you came across him ‘brought it on yourself mate’, I doubt it. People know the science, and they know about the increase in risk. They just don’t feel the need to point it out because it doesn’t make it any less sad.

I hate to be the one to say it but I think it is for the best if we place a temporary 3 week ban on 'Mouth'.

Wow, what a ridiculous thing to say... I'm actually going through a similar thing as Bonehead at the moment, early stage oesophageal and stomach cancer, and i have never smoked a cigarette in my life, I'm not a heavy drinker, nor do I take drugs. I'm 38. I don't think it's necessary to speculate on the causes.

Cancer also happens because of pollution, bad food and cosmetics, products to clean our houses we've been given the past 40 years, chernobyl and who knows what else.
Of course there are smokers and people who partied too much, but there's all this and genetics too.

Thank you for all the well wishes, its been caught early and I've a wife and 2 year old daughter to fight to get better for! I've been getting treatment since December 2021, a leading consultant picked up my case so I travel 200 miles every month or so to get 'pioneering' treatment and the oesophagus is responding well, the stomach not so much, but that can be removed if need be, the oesophagus can't, so I have to look on the bright side

Even tho I’ve never met him and never will, I feel like we all know him since were such nerdy Superfans. This makes me sad but thank goodness it wasn’t a worse cancer. Hope he’s better soon!
