Okay guys I need help from yall. So I get to go do a golf trip in England and Scotland for my 30th birthday and when I’m there I’m hoping to buy as much original Oasis vinyl as I can because here it’s almost impossible to find 12 inches or original pressings. So are there record shops around that would have these or is it a pipe dream?

I’m there often. When I go there’s a few places I like to check.
That said, I can only refer to London as that’s there I go mostly.
I like Sister Ray and Reckless Records on Berwick street in soho (which you’ll recognise as the street from the MG cover).
There’s a couple of good record dealers at stalls in Camden market. I don’t really enjoy going to Camden much anymore as it makes me feel like I’m from the previous century (which I actually am) but you can find some good, hard to find stuff sometimes. There’s a couple good record dealers at Portobello market in notting hill as well.
I used to go to the big HMV on Oxford street but it’s closed now. All in all, you likely won’t find loads of 12” or 7” Oasis stuff all over the place but you’ll find bits and pieces if you’re lucky. And you’ll have better luck there than anywhere else in the world i would think. Of course you can just find things online these days but the fun of searching second hand shops is so much more satisfying.

I did a quick search on Amazon.co.uk (as I was going to suggest having it delivered to an Amazon locker for pickup while you're here), but prices look similar to Amazon.com Sorry I'm assuming you're American as you said "yall"  |

I’m looking more for original presses of albums and the 12 inch singles. I figured they would be easier to find (hopefully way cheaper too) than they are here. |

I’m in Edinburgh and I have a full collection of Oasis 12s and albums now. Unfortunately you won’t see many in physical stores and if you do they’ll likely be over priced. My advice would be to buy online. It can be a slog but you need to scour Discogs and EBay. And also buy from fellow collectors. If you’re on Facebook you can join the Oasis Collectors Group - a great community where original records and rare memorabilia is sold on a daily basis at fair prices. Best of luck |

I paid £150 for WTSMG about 2 years ago. If you can get something that’s a VG+ to near mint around that price I’d go for it. My favourite 12? Whatever was always a special one for me as that was the first Oasis single I bought on day one. Albeit it was the cassette I bought as a 13 year old! So the artwork on that one takes some beating for me. But I also love Cigarettes and Alcohol… again the artwork is iconic and I have the 12”, the CD and the cigarette box cassette on that - love them all! |
