I like it, but feel it could have been improved, perhaps sped up in sections?
The lyrics are A grade...

Yeah, this was the start of the era of dreary Noel sang B-sides. Songs like Flashbax are the reason why the casual fans left in droves.

At the time it felt like the B sides on Stand By Me and AATW were a big dip in quality. I remember barely listening to any of them as they seemed pretty throwaway compared to the quality we’d been used to. With the exception of Going Nowhere actually.
Appreciate them more now but Flashbax has the definite feel of “shit we need to write a B side”

Great song in my opinion. Think Paul Weller once said it was his favourite Oasis song too if I'm not mistaken. I really don't get anyone saying it was some kind of beginning of the demise or anything. It's a b-side for crying out loud.
Its a million times better than Magic Pie. Maybe 'just a b-side', but this is Oasis. Every b-side Oasis released prior to this was quality and much much better. Agreed but by this point the albums were suffering as a result of him leaving off great songs. The first 2 albums didn't really need any of the b-sides to them (although you could still improve them). But when the albums started to get less than favourable reviews it was so annoying to then go and find much better songs as b-sides.

I’m down for Be Here Now. All of it. Loved it when I was 16. Love it when I’m 40.

I’m down for Be Here Now. All of it. Loved it when I was 16. Love it when I’m 40. Exactly this!! I had just turned 17 years old in the July before it's release in August. It was an amazing time. The live stuff was brilliant too. I've said many times before it's the white album for a different generation. I've never understood the negativity. Of course everyone is entitled to an opinion. But some of the derogatory comments on here about oasis stuff baffles me at times. I mean if you don't like oasis, why are you here?
