Alrite....
Hope I've posted this in the right place.
I was wondering what is everyone's first real interation with Oasis.
I was born right at the start of the 90's so they have lived almost my whole life with them being in the public eye, but my first real interaction came in 2006.
I was 16 and was sent to work at another branch of the frozen food company that I worked for at the time. I went to Woolworths on my break to kill a bit of time and bought Definitely Maybe on CD. I'm just old enough to be part of the generation who had to get up off their arse and go to a shop if they wanted new music. I can still remember holding it in my hands and looking at the cover and the back for the first time properly.
Owning and listening to that album changed my life forever, as it will have done for many people on here.
Would love to hear from others.....

Buying the Cigarettes & Alcohol CD single in October '94 and being blown away by the quality of the three B-sides. Everything on it was good enough to be on an album! I bought Definitely Maybe the week later and never looked back.

My first oasis gig, from that day on my life changed. I'd only really heard some acoustic radio session stuff prior to the gig which I found very interesting. It was one of our football coaches that was into 'this upcoming band'. We were in Boston, then moved to Connecticut playing against some local high school teams. We had 2-3 free days straight before we were due to fly back to the Uk. Our coach realised oasis were playing in New York Tribeca. He made special reservations with the venue because we were only 14/15 years old. 8 of us took a mini-bus through to the gig. The rest is history.

What an interesting time to have seen them too....

They blew us away on the night and I couldn't wait to get back home to the UK and buy the album. I don't think the venue is there anymore. Think it's been torn down now.
