Yeah, they’re amazing.
He’s been criminally ignored save for the documentary Dig! Which doesn’t show just how good he is.
The fairly recent Cardinal sessions film of them at Kentish Town is brilliant.

Going to have a listen to the new album this afternoon along with Wolf Alice after watching their set at Glastonbury yesterday. This is a brilliant gig, Jim. I was tempted to going to see them for quite some time, but finally will make it in October. My better half is ready for 2 hours lasting gig and he doesn't mind it all, so do I.

that show above and the version they play of Vad Hande Med Dem (the 2nd song i believe) tells you all you need to know about how great a band they are and how brilliant Anton is. The new album is astounding. Every song. And the cover art too! Done by his son. I am not surprised you are a fan too mimmihopps x

Thank you for the link Mimmi, really enjoyed the new album so this will be good to watch. Do you recommend any other of their albums? I have heard the odd song on 6Music but not completely familiar with them.

Spinning the new album this morning and it's another classic. I did a count and, I reckon that Fire Doesn't Grow On Trees is their 19th studio album, with their 20th due to be released this year. Anton is an insanely talented writer. It would never happen, but I would love to see a LG collab. Truly one of the greatest under the radar acts of the last 30 years. http://instagram.com/p/CfQ3l-0szek

Hey Jim, As an intro to the band Tepid Peppermint Wonderland is a great starting point as it's a best of collection of the early stuff upto 2008. My favourite period of the band is the late nineties, Thank God For Mental Illness, Take It From The Man! And Give It Back are all fantastic albums. Of the later period Revelation is probably my favourite. So much to choose from!! Haha

I actually got into them with their last album, so I'm prettey late for the party, but absolute love them. and like durk said, this Cardinal session tells everything how brilliant they are. Listening to Anemone made me wish that Oasis would have made a song like this in 2000. I was watching Glastonbury footage on BBC last night, but got bored, so I watched this session. and no mobile phone in the air during this session. How great is that!

Anton is the rare real deal. Can’t see a collab happening either but if it did, I would truly love to be a fly on that wall.

Finally got the new album. Love the entire album, but Track 7 "You think I'm joking?" is bloody brilliant.
You gotta see them live.
