There are bands that release these "official bootlegs", for example Nirvana on the 30th anniversary of Nevermind will release 4 broadcast concerts even though it is not an album release as such, another example was Jeff Buckley on the 25th anniversary of his album Grace did the same.
How much do you like this happening for Oasis?
What performances would be good options taking into account not repeating previously unreleased concerts.
For me it would be a great opportunity for Barrowlands 2001, the first night of Maine Road that is totally forgotten and is one of the best interpretations of the band, and there is something from the Be Here Now tour.

As I said in another thread, we know Noel is aware that the fans want this, it was brought up to him in that Apple interview a few months back. Hopefully he takes it on board

I find live albums pointless, would much rather have some rarities from the vaults, but yeah if it makes other people happy!

I would like to see it, but I agree that I'll listen to rarities much more frequently than a live album.

I would love this to happen one day but if it ever does well that's a different matter altogether.

Barrowlands and Finsbury Park should definitely be released at some point. And, so should the Manchester GMEX gig too.

Itβs a great idea and would take minimal effort on their behalf.
Also, the bonus tracks on album reissues will be very Noel vocals heavy - SOTOG demos will be almost entirely Noely Poly. So releasing gigs like this will showcase Liam too. Iβd much rather we get full gigs than the hodge-podge of random live tracks that were put on the Chasing The Sun reissues.

I would have done 4 discs for Chasing the Sun: 1 - Album 2 - B-Sides / Alternate Versions / Reworkings 3 - Demos 4 - Live Tracks / Radio Sessions If no demo's disc 4 became disc 3. Live tracks taken from a variety of places. For SOTSOG I would include as much of the album live as possible plus tracks from the era, Electric Talk Tonight, Rock N Roll Star Acoustic. I would also do box sets of live stuff. Buy the Box and then collect the following shows to fit inside: 1994 - 1997: Chicago or Wolverhampton / Earls Court / Maine Road / G-Mex 1998 - 2002: Chicago or Sau Paolo / Japan 2000 / Barrowlands 2001 / Finsbury Park 2004 - 2009: Glastonbury / City of Manchester 2005 / Wembley 2008 / Buenos Aires 2009

I would also do 2 versions of Finsbury Black and White and Colour or mix them both i think the black and white footage was fantastic and provided a different contrast to the gig

Mind you, the City Of Manchester 2005 has already been released on dvd unless you're talking of a different night or a cd.

Even then, you would think given Liam's tendacy to "indulge" between shows during residencies, there would be insurance incase there was a repeat of Wembley 2000 so I'd hope at least one of the other full shows exists. I've no idea how much was captured. Every UK stadium tour from 2000 onwards had multiple screens and a run time of approx 90 minutes, it's an expensive business capturing raw video feeds and multi-track audio recordings. A lot of it would depend on who owns the rights (how much they want for it) and where the material is stored.

I don't think that the full show from the City Of Manchester Stadium was ever released but I would love to see the concert in full. If it was cut for the TV broadcast then they should hopefully release it one day. But like you say it depends on who owns the rights on these things but for this gig it could be Channel 4 television.
