I had to unfollow Kasabian and Tom on socials. It was just too painful watching both be so desperate. I liked a bunch of Tom’s solo tunes. Serge is too much as the frontman. He’s like a Spinal Tap parody. Blows me away how much I was into this band 2004-2011. Seen them 3 times. They killed it every night. Serge to me is the prime example of why not everyone is cut out to be a great front man, no matter how desperate they are to be. You can take the individual elements of a person and there can be nothing wrong per se. Take Serge, he's a decent looking fella, recognisable, not a bad singer, writes the tunes etc but he just still hasn't got the thing really good frontmen do. You either have it or you don't. There's a good reason he was stood at the side of the stage for 15+ years while a real front man was on stage. Makes one REALLY Appreciate the magic Liam brings. He was born to front a band. |

If you take Liam and Mick Jagger, there's almost no crossover in terms of how they act on stage, but are great front men. That shows you don't need to do specific things to be that top frontman, there's no rules. You just either have that presence or you don't. Serge tries to give off the energy on stage and put on a show but he's just not it. That's not having a dig at him though. It's not his fault the good frontman knocked his missus about and is out of the band So he's just playing the hand he's dealt and giving it a go. I think he knows if they restarted something under a new name, it's more likely to flounder quickly. Its probably just better to keep the Kasabian name going at this point, in terms of sustaining a career at a decent level. Can't blame them, but I think purely from a band perspective they're a much lesser band now. |

Kind seems like rather huge cash grab to me ...starting to seriously loose respect for Tom on this. You've got to get money in from somewhere, haven't you? For what he's offering it sounds very promising - and a lot like Embrace's membership thing. Not that I'm subscriber in either of those. 😄 I prefered PledgeMusic, which was a great idea and had some good projects before going bankrupt. But geez, Tom doesn't look well in that video. He seemed to be in a better place in the first music videos and that's not too long time ago. |

Tom has just said on Patreon that album number 2 is planning to be released around April/May 2024. That’s a quick turn around His drummer stated that they had shed loads of material at his Brighton gig. Great to hear more. Shame it all seems like a flash in the pan tbh. Decent album came and went. |

Feel like he’s being badly advised In all fairness, its probably the way a lot of musicians below a certain level will start operating to make extra money Besides, I think he's pretty much got a captured audience at this point, Its not really going to get much bigger than it is. So now its just about making the most money from it. It's the reality of a musician in 2023 unless you're a real major act, you have to find many different little revenue streams. So I don't think he's being badly advised. I think he's just facing the reality of a musician in 2023 with an album that just about scrapes into the top 20 these days. |

This truly is piss poor..kasabian are no more. This is just SLP with band. Dead horse is being flogged to shit. Hope we get some Tom tunes again soon. Seems like a bit of a slow burner to a flash in the pan...then gone. |

Saw the tracklist, Algorithms is the closer and apparently there will be a single called A Happening (the opener) that has an intro edited out of the tune, only available on the CD and Vinyl version.
I hate when bands release the closer as a single, feels like a spoiler.
