A leak? It’s only a few hours away now haha I agree, it’s crazy how he’s not getting any publicity or attention in the mainstream media his album is shaping up to be amazing. He just released ‘The Reckoning’ single, fucking great as expected Ah fuck, I've always had this rule of not listening the closing track until I hear the full record. This is torture man, The Reckoning, Deep Dive and Dancing On Our Feet are tracks that got me the most hyped, but specially the title track because of what Tom said. I think I'm going to hold a couple hours

I’m going to sleep and after work tomorrow have some drinks and listen. For me, they’re all sounding great but especially ‘Don’t Give In’ I can’t wait to hear it. What did Tom say about the title song again?

What did Tom say about the title song again? Don't Give In sounds great as well, I listened to the live version in its fullest and even though it's a short one, it sounded fantastic. In the Q&A he did a couple weeks ago, someone asked which song off the new record was his fave, and he said The Reckoning. If I recall well he said that that's the song that makes the album an album. The concept behind the album is all in that one tune. And also that it's quite different from the other 11 tracks, being "on a different level". With those words I've got a reason to wait until midnight!!! Even though we've been waiting for the album since November of two years ago (he released Would You Mind while I was in a tough moment so it has definitely been a while) I can't believe I'm hours away from the first listen. Definitely a spliff or two will welcome the record tonight!!!

So has enough for another album right now even including his eps over last couple years. Criminal the lack of media interest.

Mate, I’ve just listened to the album on the way to work and all I can say is wow. It’s everything I hoped it would be. I honestly can’t choose a bad song, the album is consistent from start to finish. Having those 30 second snippets really helped because you knew what the sound was like you just needed to listen to the whole thing. 9/10 so far

It really is criminal, his album is released today and no one’s fucking talking about in the mainstream media, which therefore means only the true dedicated fan base will be aware of it and his comeback. Why haven’t the NME mentioned it or radio x etc. Insane, but my theory is that they don’t want to be associated with him due to the allegations, plain and simple otherwise it would be everywhere. Sucks but I’m sure he expected it to be like this

I got high hopes but I must admit I was quite surprised. Even with the snippets, the album wasn't ruined. And I'm definitely an impatient fucker. Not only I listened every 30second clip months ago, I listened to all the live performances I could found this last couple of years and yet most of the songs surprised me in a positive way. Fuck me the title track is absolutely incredible. Am I the only one who raised an eyebrow when listened to the quote: "Hey there, ALLIGATOR". Everything he said about that one particular tune made sense when I finished the record. Of course the reckoning is about Serge. But keeping the problems aside, loved a bit of every tune. It was a fun listen. I'm a bit afraid it will have the Liam solo albums effect on me, blasting it the month it comes out and then rarely come back to just a couple of songs. But of course, always a great first listen. The second half surprised me much more than the first, even though I'd heard Better In The Dark a couple days ago, Everyone's Addicted and Movin' On (this one fucking rocks) last year. Thinking On Our Feet is a fucking stomper, and I knew this one as well from the live performances. And yet the production elevates the song to a point I want to punch an elephant. Acrobat is also another one that I knew from the performances, but as the previous one it got me pumping to it. From the first half I must say it felt a bit empty. Rise is an okay opener, but why wouldn't you open the record with Shout It Out? A by far more powerful opening track, shit, he even starts the gigs with that one. And just when I just getting real deep into Deep Dive it fucking ended. Besides that, a nice groove but it didn't go anywhere. Such a shame because on every tune we got a proper ending but this one felt unfinished. The weakest imo was Daytona Racing, sounded like a Blink182 mixed with Sum 41 song.
But yeah, that's my hot take. Of course and as always, I need a couple more of listens, maybe I end up loving tracks I dislike or the exact same opposite. But at the moment I hope everyone can separate the artist from the music and enjoy the album as it is. Uplifting and fun, with a little twist at the ending, but nothing too overcomplicated. Not at the level of As You Were for example, but to be honest neither too far away. Give it an opportunity lads, it's not a long one and you will at least bop to more than one tune, that's for sure

I've noticed 2 changes in the tracklists, it must be the reason why it got delayed for a week. Track #4 was supposed to be Out Of This World but he changed it for Shout It Out. Both tracks are good imo, would've included both and leave Daytona out. The other "change" is that on the deluxe version, there were supposed to be an acoustic track, which was later changed to Better In The Dark. Track included as well in the main album. Really strange changes at the very last moment, knowing that he had the album ready since February.

I've never been a huge Kasabian fan, even though I like many of their singles, and maybe for that reason Tom's singles have been gone under the radar for me. Yesterday I finally got myself listen to his songs on YouTube and they got me somewhat excited about his album. I just checked the price for the FLAC version on Qobuz (I prefer to own my music, not to rent it) and it's very cheap, so I will probably buy it today. Hopefully it will be a good album as the singles suggest.

I've listened to it 3 times now, and I can tell is by far better than The S.L.P

So the tracks that didn't make it are Sunshine, One & The Same and Something's About To Change. Plus the already released tunes, Let It Ride, Icarus, Footdown, On for Life, Would You Mind and Out Of This World. That's almost a fucking album. So safe to assume that the next one shouldn't take that long

To be Frank has more impact than Liams debut too.

That lead single was beyond atrocious. But then tunes like Trance or Nobody Else proved that Serge is a great songwriter. Just not that good front man. But The Reckoning? As a whole? Much more consistent album-wise

There are actually 3 new tracks 2 live performances and 1 acoustic. Didn't listen to it yet but it would be One And The Same (pumped I can listen to this one!!!!) Somethings About To Change, Standing Tall (brand new one)

Good songs all of them 3, weakest is SATC and its mainly for it's lenght. One and the Same is fantastic. Unreal how he went for Scared instead of this one. And Standing Tall needs a few more listens but I didn't dislike it. What a day! 16 New Tracks from Tom and some live performances. Haven't heart the acoustic but holy shit he made my week
