Nicely put. I admit I didn’t exactly have a council estate upbringing, but that Times review was so snobbish it still made my goddamn blood boil. Maybe need to change their name, as it seems to be what they’re the furthest away from.
Yes, indeed. Truly the most egregious kind of journalism (and I'm usually a defender of journalism, but there's no defending this ridiculous crap. You'd think this kind of superiority trip would have died out by now even in the English press.)

But if Bonehead had been there this weekend he would have played at Knebworth four times like Liam. And John Squire! Yeah, you're right, I forgot to mention him.

The gigs are once in lifetime events , from halfway back you couldn’t see the band but the atmosphere , screens and the brilliant sound made up for it , I thought stage should’ve been raised but can’t deal with everything . The disabled area from what seen should’ve been higher up but seriously I don’t know how you can please everyone there it’s a massive event in a field and no way was that 80k capacity it was more

Finally home.
Unbelievable day yesterday. Honestly what an experience. Great crowd, no hassles anywhere with everyone on a high of the event.
Tired, sore, exhausted but absolutely buzzing and a little bit emotional.
Loved it…

I'm guessing when Noel said he gave his blessing to these gigs on Matt Morgan show he meant hes allowed the Oasis songs to be used on a live DVD then? Where as obviously he didn't allow that for the As It Was documentary.
I didn't hear what he said to Matt but I'd guess that is the case. We'll never know what deal was made, but in the end, it benefits Noel and he probably recognizes that.
Yeah the Oasis songs will no doubt creep back up the charts alongside any release for this and business man Noel knows that. It's been quite telling the past year or so how both have held back on any genuinely bad digs at each other too. There's been the odd joke but nothing deep. I think there's been a truce of sorts with their Mum as the mediator.

Was there on Saturday! The stage, the big screens and light design really looked amazing and state of the art. Was in the front pit and whenever I looked behind me it was so impressive to see this endless crowd and everyone singing along and having the time of their lives. More Power was the most emotional for me, couldn't help but tear up during that song and the sea of lights in the crowd from everyone flashing their phone lights was so beautiful. Roll It Over sounded absolutely amazing too, Liam really nailed it! Really happy I got to hear this song performed live. I love that Liam sings the "I don't know, I don't care..." outro of Slide Away again, I simply love that part! John Squire, the fireworks... so many special moments.
Well done and thank you to Liam for these great gigs <3 That was something really special and amazing for so many people of all ages and from all around the world <3

Yeah, you're right, I forgot to mention him. While theyre likely mates, Id been wondering if it was hard to get John to come. As since the Stone Roses reunion, it seemed he’d 100% retired from music to focus on painting. Not heard a peep out of him. Then out of nowhere hes back. Earlier, Id spoke with some lads near me about whether any guests would appear. We talked through some names and couldn’t think of anyone. Liam already said Ashcroft wouldn’t be, someone said Jarvis Cocker but though theyre friends I knew Liam wasnt gonna do a Pulp tune, and I said Squire had retired to paint instead. Only one I could think of was maybe Dave Grohl for Everything’s Electric. Then suddenly at the encore I heard Liam say “the reason I got into music”, and I knew what it meant. Im just so glad i didnt find out from the first night. If anyone around me did know, cheers for not giving it away.

Sadie, you should tag Liam, whoever the concert promoter was (often says on the ticket) and Knebworth House in your tweets. Obviously Liam had nothing to do with it but his team can reach out to the people who did. They should know that the access and facilities were not adequate for the future.
p.s. I've looked at your twitter account before and had no idea it was the same person! It's a nice one.

Haha thanks! I just tagged them btw, I'm glad I've had a lot of good responses back from people. In hindsight I should've probably let people reply but I wasn't in the mood to deal with any trolls at that point, I hope something comes from that thread though cause it truly was a disgrace last night

In truth im not a die-hard Roses fan myself, but I dig their most iconic classics and totally get their influence on Oasis. But yes, he'd focused on painting for several years until they reunited from 2011-17. And since then, he'd returned to painting and hardly been heard from.

I like one or two songs by the Stone Roses but you're right they had an influence on Oasis. I guess he'll be painting again now after his brief appearance at Knebworth with Liam.

Just listened to the radio highlights. His voice sounds so clear, the crowd videos I've seen, while great, didn't really do him justice. To think when the gigs were announced people were seriously worried his voice would be shot by the end of these three gigs. Really excited for Hampden now. Bet it sells out now off the back of the glowing reviews for these gigs.

What happened to you? Similar to me with the travel? Really sorry to hear you had a difficult experience. It's not right, and hopefully you calling them out on it makes it better for others in the future. I would have said this on Twitter, but you've understandably restricted comments. Not logged on here for years but wanted to see what people made of the gigs- I went Saturday. I'm so chuffed Liam didn't let any of us down as bad as the organisers let you down. Hope you have better future experiences. Peace out ✌️
