Well, the Real People are still apparently sitting on the master tapes of the original sessions they produced for Oasis. Could be a film based around those?

It always annoyed me that although Chris and Tony have always been vocal about having the master tapes we have never seen an official release of them in CD quality.

You could think that maybe the Griffiths' are after a tidy sum for the tapes (and who could blame them after Noel 'borrowing' bits of their unreleased tunes), possibly Noel / Ignition aren't willing to pay out.

But I'd wager Ignition haven't even bothered to ask them if they are for sale.

Would have been great to hear all the demos remixed from the original 8 tracks on the 20th anniversary of Definitely Maybe. Would have deserved it's own CD. Instead we just got the same old versions transferred from the original demonstration cassette.

I appreciate this but we know they recorded Definitely Maybe before the final version so they could plunder those sessions for future reissues. Stuff we haven't heard.

The Real People demos were already in circulation for years before the 20th anniversary came out, the least they could have done is give us better quality versions of what was on the tape.

Rather than advertise future anniversary editions by blatantly saying ''the entirety of the session will probably never be heard and missing gems include the following songs 'Heaven Knows', 'Must Be The Music', 'Coming On Strong' and 'Lock All The Doors' in the notes.

Dangle that carrot for the 30th anniversary, again for stuff mostly in circulation? Yeah! 😂

I've always found the Griffiths brothers to be respectful and certainly tactful when answering questions about their time with Oasis.

There were issues in the past obviously but seemingly a financial agreement was made. Was happy to see the credits of Rockin' Chair 'includes literal elements of 'Growing Old', words by Christopher Griffiths' added to the complete song chord book.

I'm sure the master tapes are mentioned on the Definitely Maybe 10th anniversary DVD as still being with the Real People.

They also said in interview that they still exist, how would they know this if they didnt have them? Quote taken from the Oasis Recording Info website, (which is a great read btw):

''You mentioned in an earlier interview that you recorded around twenty songs with Oasis, from which those heard on the Live Demonstration cassette were selected; can you say what the other songs were and do the master tapes of these still exist? What format(s) were the Oasis demos recorded on and mixed down to?
Chris: Yes. The Live Demonstration tape, 8 track B sides and some others whose titles we forget.''

I guess there's some confusion if you say there's also a quote saying Noel and Coyley took them, and Chris could have misunderstood the question but there's a definite 'Yes' in there.

Lastly if indeed Noel does have them then it's even more of an insult to why we only got the same old tape transferred versions on the 20th anniversary!

While I'm waiting for them to upload the documentary (6PM today) I've been checking some of their less known stuff on youtube, anyone knows what album is this song from?



They seem to have like 2 or 3 unreleased albums. Also, is the Marshmellow Lane 2012 album different to the bootleg one from 1992?

I'm hoping we get some previously unknown information, maybe an odd snippet of music not already leaked.
