I honestly think it doesn't matter who plays as the backing band... as long as it's Liam and Noel it will be counted as Oasis

I have often thiught about the hypophetical rehnion lineup. bonehead would have to be there since he is back in the picture now. but gem is also an integral oasis member imo. I dont think noel cares much for andy and im not arsed about him much either. nice guy and I like some of his songs but his personality doesnt fit oasis so much. bonehead would have to play bass or something. actually they could just make it a 6 piece and use andy on bass. 2 rhythm guitarists. big wall of sound. obviously alan on drums but it would be cool to let tony play the definitely maybe songs. maybe they could swap out

Guns n Roses have gritted their teeth through gigs for the money. Same for the Roses who couldn’t even hold it together to finish their album... not great reunion success stories!! That said, if Oasis did reform for some pension filthy lucre I’d be in line for ridiculously overpriced tickets like the rest of you. X |

But there have been reasonably successful ones –The Pixies, Alice in Chains, Led Zeppelin, Pulp, The Eagles, The Police, Squeeze, Fleetwood Mac, Rage Against The Machine, the list goes on. The Who were never officially broken up, but they’ve gone through long stretches of not playing together, yet are successful when they do, even in their 70s. Of course, one can’t turn back the clock. Oasis in 2025 could not be Oasis in 1996, so those hoping for a direct time machine will get their hearts broken if it ever happens. Part of the reason it might not is that expectations will be so unrealistic. That said, never is a very long time and life is everchanging. Seems premature to rule out the Gallaghers ever appearing together on a stage again until one of them is gone. |

The question would still be. Liam and many would like Bonehead to be there as an original member and because it is part of the early history of the band.
But Noel would not see Oasis as a tribute to what they were, but rather, he would look for a way to be a contemporary rock band. Liam will always look to the classic past, Noel always to the future and changes.

Might not work out this way, but Liam can maintain this voice for a while if he takes care of himself. Next age-related range changes come for most singers in their 60s. Presumably his Hashimoto’s is pretty well controlled now. He can screw it by touring madly or further destroying his sinus tract in uh, ways, but no absolute reason he can’t stay at 2019 level for a bit so long as he's healthy. Noel is quite content to look away for now ... but time changes everything. One day he might feel like going large for a bit or cashing in that card ... nobody knows. Even he doesn't. |

We always think about a reunion with past members, but what if they Liam and Noel reunite and add new members to the band? If they ever come back I dont want them to be a nostalgia act, I want them to look forward and explore new sounds together.
