So I was at a book store here in the US and flipped through this book below. 'Listen to This If You Love Great Music: A critical curation of 100 essential albums'. I decided to see if they mentioned Definitely Maybe or WTSMG. Turns out they did not have these albums but they mentioned Dig Out Your Soul. They talked about how the album was frustrating but has so many high points and is eclectic that is worth a listen. Also praised the AA 20 minute remix of Falling Down. I was shocked to see it. www.amazon.com/Listen-This-Love-Great-Music/dp/071125608X

I like Dig Out Your Soul but it's nowhere near as good as Definitely Maybe or (What's The Story) Morning Glory?

The book itself is weird because it's 100 albums, within multiple categories (none of which WTSMG fit). DOYS is in there because it's the last album before the split. They could have put DM on there with the debuts, but think because they have The Stone Roses in there to begin with, they didn't want people to assume it was going to be mainly Britpop.

That explains it then. And, the book certainly does sound weird.
