This album is going to be monumental. I’m a huge fan of theirs.

Yep great band. Looking forward to this, the collab with Robert Smith from earlier this year is on there too which I particularly liked.

HOW IS THIS THE FIRST TIME I'M SEEING THIS THREAD OH MY GOSH
I freaking love CHVRCHES!! The singles were fantastic, the album is awesome. They got back to their roots but also tapped into their DNA to create a sound that's unique from their other works.
I don't know where to start but I love how well Asking For a Friend and He Said She Said open up the album and the run from Violent Delights to Nightmares is so tasty. The drum pattern on Violent Delights is so different for them and Martin's vocals so seamlessly come into the fold. The chorus is so breezy yet dark. Aghhh it's so good.
I love the guitar & bass work on that song and others, it's just so different. I didn't get why their cover of The Killing Moon sounded the way it did but it made sense after hearing the album. They've really found something taking on this darker spin to their sound that showed up at various points of Bones but never fully manifested itself until this album.
Speaking of manifesting, this has to be their most cohesive album to date. Better If You Don't is one song I'm not huge on but it makes sense in the context of the album, especially after things go hard so much throughout the song (Nightmares in particular too).
I seriously can't wait to give this album more listens. Wow.

This is an excellent album, really loving it. Feels like classic Chvrches when comparing with their last album.

This is what stuck out for me, I was listening thinking it was truer to themselves and sure enough looked at the production notes and they produced it themselves, as opposed to the team of industry producers they teamed up for Love Is Dead (Greg Kurstin involved in that one). The restraint in some of these songs make this album more effective in many ways.

So what do you say When you lose your way? The past is in the past It isn't meant to last But if I can't let go Will you carry me home? Can we celebrate the end? I'm asking for a friend.
Fuck… that hit. Hard.

One of the best albums I’ve heard in years. This is an excellent collection of songs.
