This is a question for the expert guitarists on the board.

So right before the second chorus it goes from F to G and Noel makes a cool sound with the guitar it looks like it’s just a G but he makes it sound good with how he does the 3 strums. Does anyone know if he’s doing different chords or if he is just strumming the low E to make it sound like that? I definitely can’t make it sound that good. Thanks!

I find the chord most people get wrong in this song is the second one... it's not C, G Aminor.

It is C, C/B i think (020010) . See so many tutorials get this wrong. I can see Noel playing this chord also in the video and there's another version where he plays it.
