Would Liam have walked off stage without explanation to the crowd if there were technical issues and his voice went after 2 songs at the wealthy businessman's party?

Yeh he sounds awesome to be fair Indeed. Quite unbelievable for someone who has just had a bout of laryngitis.

"Liam misheard the crowd yelling "shoey" for "do it" and was visibly annoyed for part of the show"
Setlist.fm comment above the -short- setlist at Byron Bay, Australia.

Why were they shouting shoey? Is it an Aussie thing? In Australia they pour beer into a shoe and drink it from a shoe, it’s very weird and gross. Why was he annoyed about thinking they were saying “do it”, though?

I doubt he was really angry tbh, that looks like a fairly standard festival setlist.

The new note on setlist FM now says the crowd were 'visibly uninterested'
Very weird note.
Seemed a good set. But as I'm such a fan of DMA's I do tend to take note of some of the Aussie gigs when I can and honestly all of the crowds look shite.

Very weird that he seems to get such a meh reception in Aus, compared to NZ where it went off. And even on this board there seems to be a decent amount of Kiwis, but I haven’t seen anyone comment who went to a show in Aus so far.
I only found one review for his first Sydney show which only gave 3 1/2 stars, but there were five or six glowing reviews from his Auckland show. Maybe music isn’t as big a thing generally in Aus.

So I was at the Sydney gig and it was literally one of the best nights of my life. Best gig I've been to hands down and a big part of that was because the crowd was so into it. I don't know what the fuck that idiot who wrote the review was smoking - it was a 5/5 star gig. Liam was very happy and chatty as well, the most happiest I've seen him. There's obviously a reason management has chosen to come out to your NZ and AUS over the US + other parts of the world. But in saying this, festival shows could be different as people aren't coming just to see Liam so it would be a different vibe at festivals...

Yeah I imagine going to his own gig is different just like it is anywhere in the world. My mate did go to see him at either Rod Laver Arena or Margaret Court Arena in Melbourne in early 2020, pre-Covid, like and said it was a good gig but that they actually shut it down while he was in the encore as he was overrunning. Remember Liam fuming afterwards about it on Twitter. Didn't they also cancel the Friday sets at Splendour In The Grass last week due to weather? I know Aus can get some pretty bad storms like but I saw the photos and it looks like a standard day at Leeds Fest when it rains The Poms definitely have it over you lot for sticking at it through thick and thin for gigs

See a couple of camera people - maybe this gig was pro shot.
edit: The lady filming at the front (to Liam's right) - I think I saw her filming at Knebworth or another one of the UK gigs, again stood front right of Liam. So maybe this is filming for an upcoming documentary.

Not sure if there are any Community Gardeners here, but Tim Burgess briefly mentioned on Shaun Keaveny's show that The Charlatans are doing some gigs with Liam later in the year, not seen the dates anywhere. not much but a about 10 and half mins in here..

Can't wait to see him this Sunday in Belgium at Hear Hear Festival. He's only scheduled for an hour so too bad it won't be an 18-19 song setlist but none the less very hyped.
I hope Roll It Over still makes the setlist but I guess this is one of the songs he'll drop first in a non-headline show.

I still find it weird he does a bulk of solo songs, then pretty much the same number of oasis songs, then a bulk of solo songs and then the same amount oasis and so on. He started with this back in 2017 and the bulk of each has got bigger but the format stays the same. I think he could easily mix this up more. So many solo songs go nicely with oasis and vice versa. Anyone else think the same or am I being overly observant? Not that it bothers me just thinking it could work better
