Cast No Shadow vs. The Verve’s Lucky Man.... which is better?
I don’t know, I’ve always seen these two songs comparable in both structure and sound. Thoughts?
My vote goes to Cast No Shadow. Mainly because I can relate to the lyrics.
Been wanting to make this poll for awhile. So here is.

I wonder which way the Oasis fan forum will vote.
Anyway, A Storm in Heaven is the best Verve album. Lucky Man is a good tune, but yeah. Can't top peak Oasis.

Lucky Man is a great song but I probably only really like it because of Nick's ambient guitar loops (listen to his Happiness More or Less mix, favorite version of the song), so Cast No Shadow.

From the first time I heard the Morning Glory album I thought Cast No Shadow was the best song on it. It's one of my favorite Oasis tunes. Lucky Man is good too it just isn't as good as Cast No Shadow to me.

Cast No Shadow by far. Luckily Man doesn't even come close.

These are two songs that are very, very close to my heart. So I can’t really choose. But today I’ll say Lucky Man.

Lucky Man.
Urban Hymns matches anything Oasis did imho.

Honestly, I much prefer Lucky Man.
It's the better song.

Really like Lucky Man (it's no Sonnet tho is it), but Cast No Shadow is a top 10 Oasis song for me, so gotta go with it

I like Lucky Man but it has to be my least favourite single from Urban Hymns. Cast No Shadow is more mysterious sounding and it has got one of the most beautiful melodies Noel has ever written (as well as some of his best lyrics too).

Close, but Lucky Man clinches it for me. McCabe's guitar work is sublime.
Also... unpopular opinion, but I prefer The Verve's Slide Away to Oasis' Slide Away.
