I see both songs similar - very autobiographical, on similar if not the same subject matter.
When I do polls, I try to make them difficult. I think this one is difficult. Both are quality.

It's definitely One of Us for me, I don't even think I've listened to Once more than ✨once✨ in the last year or so. The prominent bass, the great vocals and just overall the fantastic production quality make One of Us a top 3 Liam solo songs for sure. No idea why he almost never played it live as it sounded quite good when he did.

Once is a nice little ballad but One of Us is a perfect blend of looking back into the past yet at the same time looking forward sonically from a music perspective. A sentimental modern alt. pop tune with a killer string arrangement - deserves more love than it gets.

I’ll argue for Once. It’s poignant, it’s reflective In a way that comes off as truly personal but also universal, it touches on the regrets and triumphs of the past without being another straight-up plea to Noel, it slips in that very Liam-est of words, “shine”… and most of all it is just anthemic enough that multi-generational crowds love to sing along nearly as much as they do an Oasis tune.
Think even Liam was surprised he could have a song that would do that again. Five years from now, it will still be in his set, whereas I suspect he’ll move on from “One of Us,” which never translated as well on stage. (There's definitely a repetitious simplicity to it, and more than a little "Jealous Guy," but that only seems to work in the song's favor to let the emotions ... well... shine.)

One of Us by some considerable margin.

One Of Us is supposed to be more interesting, but I just never got the hype for it, and I may be in the minority on this but I can't stand the obvious references in the lyrics
Once is a simple and straight to the point ballad, but when a song's well written and well recorded like this is it just hits, and Liam's vocals just add to it Probably his best solo tune, arguably the best thing he did in his whole post-Oasis career

I like the obvious meaning of One of Us. I'd rather Liam just came out with a belting tune like that, obviously penned to Noel, than make loads of oblique half-references and side-eyed lyrics. I find it touching, in that way. To me, feels more genuine than the more generic sentiments of Once.

Both I really, really love, and they’re my favourite two solo LG.
But on a desert island I’m taking Once.

I love both but One Of Us is much better than Once.

One Of Us was always the better of the two for me.
Just has a lot more going for it.

Once is a great song, but One of us is one I fell in love with.

Once is alright but a bit generic. Cut and paste sentimental stuff, tries to be a Noel song in attempting to be tasteful with the sentiments but it just never really hits the mark (very similar to For What It's Worth in that sense, I actually much prefer the understated ones like Chinatown much much better). Yet when he's writing these kinds of songs himself, I find them much sweeter, where the melody and delivery just seems more sincere. God knows why some folk were comparing it in quality to Dead In The Water.
But One Of Us is one of the best post Oasis tunes easily, which is saying something as the quality of songwriting is much more consistent in quality with Noel's solo career and Liam's solo efforts churning out better written songs than post 90s Oasis. It's a great great tune. Great vocal, and its a song that goes from strength to strength. The tune constantly rising and all that, great stuff. The kind of song Liam was born to sing.

I find it touching, in that way. To me, feels more genuine than the more generic sentiments of Once. One of Us may be best song of that particular Liam "genre" but he has many where that came from! Once to me is about something different that he hasn't written/sung about before, which makes it more interesting thematically and a progression. I really don't see where it's oblique or side-eyed (if anything, it's a bit too raw and simple) or even generic since he lived (rather famously) through an extreme version of what the song is about. But of course genuine is something that is always in the eye of the beholder. If it doesn't feel genuine to you then it doesn't. For me, the brother stuff is endlessly fascinating, but the further Liam gets from writing some version of "C'mon I know you want more," the more exposed he's likely to get. Once isn't at the level of "Jealous Guy" lyrically (but what is?), but it wants to be honest about success, and for me personally, I find great beauty in that.

One of Us has a really cool ending with the background vocalists and Liam repeating his "hey" lines. One of Us just gets stuck in my head more than Once and that's probably why I like it better. Then again Liam's performance of Once during the boat gig was great.

10 days of some serious contemplation (seriously...)
I’m going with One of Us. Easily.
Easy personal choice, and overall poll than I originally thought.
Once is great too, though.
