Before the pandemic hit I (American) bought tickets to Liam's Belfast show, which has been rescheduled to June 30 of this year. Given the border situation, is anyone expecting that the series will still happen, or that it will cancel? What about Reading, Leeds, and T in the Park? I know it's hard to predict, but I'm wondering if people closer to the situation in the UK have any insight?

Wasn't T In The Park festival scrapped altogether anyway even before we had Covid? I feel sure that it was.

Covid will be the big issue but maybe by June itβll be in a better state? Depends on where youβre flying into. If youβre flying into Dublin you might have to mandatory quarantine for two weeks in a hotel.

Also, the standard of people attending got worse with more fighting, drug abuse and sexual assaults happening... Wasnβt about the music anymore, just scum being scum not caring about anyone else or the music to be honest. TRNSMT at Glasgow Green took over from it which Liam is due to play in September.

Thanks for that. But yeah, I thought so but it's a shame when these people who attended T In The Park just ruined it for everyone else. I hope that TRNSMT will go ahead though this year but I guess it will depend on the Covid situation.

Is no one watching the news coming out of Northern Ireland, or do we think it won't matter by the end of June? It looks like there's been quite a lot of riots, street fights, petrol bombs, etc, related to how they deal with an Irish border after Brexit. I was wondering if Belfast is going to be able to run large scale public events. www.nbcnews.com/news/world/violence-northern-ireland-sparks-fears-return-troubles-n1264763

So Liam doesn't know if the concert will go ahead or not then. I guess that it's understandable though.

So Liam doesn't know if the concert will go ahead or not then. I guess that it's understandable though. I see a lot of bands/artists are just setting tours for late Fall to avoid further cancellations and for now, there continue to be insurance problems that are not worked out. But Iβm sure Liam will play at the very first festival that will have him (without crowd restrictions, that is!) Anyhow, the Fall strategy can backfire also. Things might be at a low this summer while the sun is out before there is a seasonal surge among the unvaccinated. Crossing my fingers not, but itβs one scenario Iβve heard. Itβs just going to be iffy for a bit to make really big plans. Me, Iβd wait to travel for a gig, but jeevey could get lucky. Many of the early summer festivals in UK look to be cancelling or postponing but you never know if one finds a way to secure indemnity before end of June.

Yeah, that's true and I agree with you about Liam will play at the first festival that will have him etc. But he did sound unsure about the Belfast gig though but things could change in the future I guess. As for the festivals this year here in the UK anyway I wouldn't be surprised if the early ones were cancelled or postponed. But as for the later ones then I guess that we'll just have to wait and see. And, the same goes for festivals abroad too.
