Just a reminder for USA fans tomorrow. Noel’s vinyl is NOT dropping tomorrow. It’s been delayed till June 25th in the states. On the flipside my deluxe vinyl arrived today from DHL.

I got my boxed set today and it's really cool. I love the orange box which holds the cd etc inside even if it is just plain orange. Really nice isn’t it, they did a really good job, See he got the idea of the design from one of his copies of a late 60’s Bee Gee’s Best Of, but he admitted he ripped it off, didn’t know he was allowed to say that ! He Mustn't care, ha. |

Just think the tracklisting is very strange. It's not really structured like a gig would be but also isn't really structured how a vinyl would be either (i.e. side one and side two on an old LP). Notable omissions (Broken Arrow, Record Machine - albeit I get why as I don't think it's a great recording of it, You Know We Can't Go Back, She Taught Me How To Fly, MWBTM) aside, I've had a stab at the latter and got this... Side One 1. Everybody's On The Run 2. In The Heat Of The Moment 3. It's A Beautiful World 4. This Is The Place 5. Black Star Dancing 6. Lock All The Doors (no way this should be in here over some of those others listed) 7. If I Had A Gun... 8. The Death Of You And Me 9. We're On Our Way Now Side Two 10. Riverman 11. Holy Mountain 12. The Dying Of The Light 13. Blue Moon Rising 14. A Dream Is All I Need To Get By 15. Flying On The Ground 16. Ballad Of The Mighty I 17. AKA... What A Life! 18. Dead In The Water Yes no Record Machine, I thought that was strange and a big omission, maybe on Vol 2 whenever that comes out. |

Not having "She Taught Me How To Fly" or "You Know We Can't Go Back" are huge omissions for me. Gotta have them on this compilation. Especially the former. As far as the bonus CD, absolutely LOVE the Skeleton Key Remixes by The Coral. Wouldn't mind James producing a Noel album........or EP. I'd have dumped the instrumentals except for the combined version of the "Wednesdays" from MOON. I'd also have put an acoustic version of "Everybody's On The Run". Its fantastic in that manner as well.

I was hoping there’d be more info in the liner notes but there isn’t and Google literally throws up nothing.
Shame Noel did a commentary on the main tracks but not the bonus material.
I assume it is a pseudonym for some of Noel’s mates.
