I love the majority of Noel’s solo work. That being said - Dream On, The Mexican, and the second half of WBTM (with the exception of The Man Who Built The Moon) all belong in an album called “The WORST of NGFHB”. I actually think the second side of Who Built The Moon is absolutely fantastic.

Mighty I makes me physically ill for some reason. I legitimately get nauseous almost every time I play it. FIFY 😁 Team Dream on, great song

I actually think the second side of Who Built The Moon is absolutely fantastic. Each to their own. Don’t get me wrong I like the album, the first half is great, She Taught Me How To Fly is perhaps my favourite NGHFB song, or at least tied with Alone On The Rope But the second half of the album is just a major let down for me. It never sits well with me when people call that album perfect, in my head I just know that it isn’t. I detest Be Careful What You Wish For above anything else, and the bland Black & White Sunshine and Love Is The Law. I have to skip them every time. Just my opinion however.

I'd actually be fine never hearing the track 'Who built the moon' ever again, but Love, love, love the rest of side 2. My only major problem is that the Interlude instrumentals could have been junked for one more solid 3 minute track since has soooo many "great" unreleased songs.
I've never really liked the untitled instrumental links on Morning Glory either though. For all the talk of Holmes as a known 'celebrity' producer , NGHFB smashed both 'Black & White Sunshine', and 'Be Careful..' when they played them live. I've only heard the actual CD versions a few times whereas the live versions I find about as addictive as black tar heroin.

Problem is Noel has the BHN syndrome now and he much prefer adding fillers than to make a too long record. That’s why BnW sunshine is here. He needed a more conventionnal song and that was probably the only one he had Love is the law is a tune though.

I do like Who Built The Moon expect for Keep On Reaching. I just can't stand that song but I do like the rest of the album even though I don't listen to it much.

When is this Noel interview dropping this week? I expected an announcement via his Twitter/IG by Tuesday the latest.

To be fair though, we're the big teases, not Noel I remember when Noel announced a 'best of' album titled Stop The Clocks after years and years of teasing how great that unreleased song was. Then of course he didn't include the song.

A NGHFB Best Of??? Really?!....OH MY GOD...
Almost FOUR years after a proper album release and he return with a f****ing greatest hits album. No way Noel. I really hope this comes as a b-side compilation o something like that. But we´re talking about Mr Noel Gallagher so...

Why are you treating this as if he's not working on a new album as well

Why are you treating this as if he's not working on a new album as well Sure, i think he´s curerntly working on a new album. But If he finally put out a "Best of" album right now it´s a totally pointless release. Just an opinion...

But If he finally put out a "Best of" album right now it´s a totally pointless release. Just an opinion... I think they're doing it now cause it's 10 years, and it's easy money I wouldn't be too fussed either if there was nothing unreleased coming out of it, being it demos, alternative takes or whatever, but it's still a plus, not taking anything away from a new album

I just can’t believe it’s been 10 years.
Where has been life gone? I can remember the excitement of him releasing The Death of You and Me. That was a great year. The Olympia gig. Magic!

I’m beginning to feel old. I always considered myself a younger Oasis fan because DM came out when I just turned 13. Now I’m 39. Yikes!!!!!

And 2011 / 2012 had anew energy too, NG gigs were great back then.

"best of" I can't believe
10th anniversary I wouldn't mind (since it's for RSD and I never cared about that day at all)

insane40 "best of" I can't believe 10th anniversary I wouldn't mind (since it's for RSD and I never cared about that day at all) The best of isn’t tied specifically to RSD. It’ll have a wide release with just special vinyl colors for RSD.
