Attention, money, drugs, women, british press camped outside your front door, stadiums full of people. That would change anyone in a normal rock band, now mulitply that by a thousand for Oasis because for a short period they were the biggest band on the planet, and it happened almost over night. Yeah, that's true and I seem to remember Noel used to say in interviews or at least one which he did that he was still the same person as he used to be but how could he after all the success he and Oasis had. He has changed though I would argue none of us knew the post Oasis Noel simply because he was a regular person, you wouldn't have known him on the street. After spending some time a month or two ago listening to him speak on the Matt Morgan pod cast and generally other (post Oasis) interviews, I've massively changed my opinion on him. Apart from the fact he can't really bring himself to say many positive things about Liam, the rest of the stories and anecdotes from Oasis and his life in general are first class and he clearly loved 90% of it from the beginning to the start of the last tour. I can now easily detach his solo career from him as a person, his music now is unlistenable to me, but could quite happily listen to him on a podcast talking about pretty much anything and I definitely got it wrong on him not flying the flag for Oasis, he just flies a different one than the one I do.

I still enjoy some of Noel's solo music but it's his interviews which I don't have time for anymore. So I just don't bother to read/ listen to them.
