pre WTSMG era Liam seems much happier in interviews and all that. 1996 is when it seems to have all changed - Liam much angrier (or seemingly so). Also the change between 2008-2016, Liam turned into a complete dickhead, still funny as fuck though.

You could say the same thing about Noel as well because since he's left Oasis and gone solo he's completely changed. When he was in Oasis he used to be funny but these days I'm afraid he has become a bit of an idiot. So it's not just Liam who can be a bit of an idiot it's both of them.

Did fame change some aspects of Liam (or Noel for that matter)? Of course it did. You can't have millions upon millions of adoring but demanding fans around the world, be in public headlines nearly every day, and indulge your every mad desire and whim without going on a roller coaster and having to one day face some stuff about yourself. Even if it's the dream, most people who attain the dream--especially suddenly and from unlikely circumstances--struggle with extreme fame (and all the fresh money, inspiration and relationship complications it brings) to some degree ... if they don't outright flame out.
That said, do we see enough of Liam's or Noel's real lives to really know what they were like in any given 10-year period? No, we don't. And much of what we see is through a blinkered media lens.

Liam's always probably been abrasive but fame gave him a big ego.

Besides the fact that I don't agree, how's that *fame*? He became famous 20 years before going solo Unless you just mean his attitude in interviews changed, but I just believe they're both kinda tired (I don't think Liam ever felt totally comfortable with them), and also take a lot of pride in being c*nts because everyone seems to want to say the right thing these days

But if you really want my honest opinion of Noel since he went solo then yes, I don't like his attitude these days he seems to have become a complete idiot. But like I said Liam can also be an idiot too. And, I actually agree with Beady's Here Now that fame changes people.

I'm agree, I think they were both more fun in the early years. Liam had periods of constant anger, it's true and other times where he seemed more carefree. Noel had more fun in the first interviews and his arrogance was also graceful...but now...since he started his solo career becomes a real dickhead...His arrogance doesn't make sense sometimes.

Liam has always been himself. For better or for worse. On the other hand, Noel has a personality built on circumstances and conveniences. This is why Liam will always be a better man than Noel.

And anyway, being fake is just as bad Don't think Noel's bad, nor that Liam's Hitler (that was clearly a joke) But being *real*, whatever that is and however we can judge it, doesn't necessarily mean you're a good person Fucking Charles Manson might have been a real one

Id have to say yes somewhat, but id also put that down to the excessive lifestyle that came with fame. And i guess if enough people tell you youre the greatest guy on Earth you eventually start to believe it.
However, I also think Beady Eye not being the resounding success he thought theyd be, and his eventual going it alone did bring him back down to earth a bit. Hes still himself , but since going solo hes seemed a bit more open and laughable, a tad more mature and less arrogant.

Attention, money, drugs, women, british press camped outside your front door, stadiums full of people. That would change anyone in a normal rock band, now mulitply that by a thousand for Oasis because for a short period they were the biggest band on the planet, and it happened almost over night.

Yeah, that's true and I seem to remember Noel used to say in interviews or at least one which he did that he was still the same person as he used to be but how could he after all the success he and Oasis had.
