Outrageous doesn’t mean bad, in fact in this case it doesn’t.
Slowly walking down the hall/faster than a cannonball.
I’ve always liked this line - it describes the time dilation of being high. It’s a wonderful lyric, wrapped in a good amount of outrageous.
It’s outrageous. Contagious.

Contagious.There was a session/interview with Fran Healy from Travis on TV once that I watched, it might have been a songwriters special or something. The interviewer talked about lyrics and mentions this exact line suggesting it's a bit nonsensical. Fran disagrees and says something about it being a lyric that makes you feel and see something. It's probably on YouTube. Not sure why I remember it!

I love Take Me Away and always have. Despite some of the lyrics it's a good song.
