What do you think about this concert? I think it's the best gig of the Definitely Maybe era: Original lineup, really heavy guitars (even more than 1996), Liam's voice is better than 1994 (more abrasive and incisive) and Tony sounded great.

It's my 2nd favourite gig after Earls Court!
Headshrinker is immense here.

Hard to put into words how good that performance of Headshrinker is.

It was shooted on 16mm film, so they can reedited and remaster in true HD. Shakermaker and Whatever seem cut out due to copyright? I want remaster and complete edition.. or AUD source.

I do like it but it's not my favourite Oasis concert which has been released on dvd. There And Then is better.

I still have the VHS version of this concert and the same goes for There And Then plus Familiar To Millions. The latter does have a much better documentary on it than the dvd version in my opinion. I've never really liked the one on the dvd version much.

I couldn't see it on Youtube unless i'm being blind.

Back in like 2010 I was drunk on my senior trip in Mexico and in the hotel room it was on Palladium channel. This concert was on and I had heard wonderwall and champagne supernova before but Some Might Say came on and that was what got me hooked on oasis. It was a revelation. So I have a special bond with this concert.

Where as the documentary on the dvd version is more about the fans etc which isn't really that good. Plus the dvd one is also filmed in black and white where as the VHS one is filmed in colour.

Ah ok wow, thanks for this. I've seen the DVD one about a hundred times, I've had to buy a second copy as I cracked mine taking in out the case so much. I'll have to pick up the VHS copy next time I see it, I passed on a copy at a record fair a couple of years ago. D'oh!

I don't know if you can actually get a VHS copy online anywhere as it's probably hard to pick up these days. But you never know your luck. I bought the VHS version first because when it first came out I didn't have a dvd player and it was only later on when the price of dvd players dropped that I got one . And, then I bought the dvd version of Familiar To Millions soon after and that's how I ended up with both versions.

Me neither and I'm surprised by that really as Shakermaker isn't cut from the Familiar To Millions concert.

I always thought it was amazing they were playing a gig before the second album came out and didn't play two of their first 5 singles. That mystery is solved. Great gig though, I've said this before that the crowd looks so young, it must have been incredible to have a band this good come along when you're in your late teens. I only got into Oasis in 97 with Be Here Now when I was 12 so a bit too young.

Me neither and I'm surprised by that really as Shakermaker isn't cut from the Familiar To Millions concert. Liam sung "I'd like to buy the world a coke and keeping it company" in DM-MG era, however in SOTSOG era He didn't sung. so I was surprised they could release Slide Up mix.

Wow, were Shakermaker and Whatever played? Never knew that.. They have played those two songs at Bataclan, Sheffield. I don't think hadn't played at Southend.

Yeah, you're right Liam did sing I'd like to buy the world a coke and keep it company in the 90s. I forgot about that so thanks for clearing that one up.

A lot of them girls compared to later years. I guess Some Might Say would of just been at number 1 in the U.K. lots of top of the pops appearances, Would of been in all the pop magazines as well as your NME etc. Cut to 2000 onwards every gig seemed to feel like football lads 20βs-40βs age

I love this gig, but the audio rip sounds so compressed. Wish it was EQed / fixed released.
