Yeah,it looks like the book is released in the UK in August. I'm now sure why it's released later in other countries though.

Unlike digital media like music where once it's out anyone in the world will hear it, books and movies both tend to have regional distributors who make their own schedule based on a lot of different things, including publicity opportunities, competition and supply (ability to book theaters in the case of movies.) Traditionally, new books are released on a Tuesday (having to do with how the bestseller lists used to be compiled). Movies are either mid-week or weekend openings because this is how box-office is tallied.

Movies are usually released here in the UK on a Friday but again the Knebworth one might be different.

I can't wait for the trailer. I also wish it was being released on the exact date of the anniversary, would mean we'd have about a month to go

I also wish it was being released on the exact date of the anniversary, would mean we'd have about a month to go It seems ridiculous to not have the actual anniversary as the cinema release date and then have the blu-ray out in time for Christmas. It also didn't make any sense to put the MG reissue out in 2014, or then to delay BHN until 2016! Also where the hell is the SOTSOG reissue??

Chasing the Sun was always about the first three albums.

Picking a movie release date is quite a bit more complicated than just going with an anniversary, so many more important considerations, especially in a year with multiple factors depressing box office. You may still get a Blu-Ray for Xmas. Theatrical windows are very short now, which is also why there's even more pressure to get them right.

I think the reasons why BHN reissue so delayed, Noel was just busy with his tour and promotion. maybe Chasing the Sun series doesn't sell well, I guess SONY don't want to release SOTSOG reissue. so Noel had planned Best of 2000s instead of later albums reissue, but it was cancelled too.

SOTSOG didnβt sell well the first time. Some of their worst reviews. Iβd rather Noel release those Oasis demos/outtakes from that period.

Yeah even still, I donβt see how releasing it in early August compared to early Sep will make much of a difference! I hope Noel is wrong and that itβs not released in October

Yeah even still, I donβt see how releasing it in early August compared to early Sep will make much of a difference! I hope Noel is wrong and that itβs not released in October I can see why it might not make sense from the outside, but I can tell you first-hand that timing does indeed make a major difference. First of course, you have to have a locked film, which I donβt even know if they do (just because they screened it for band members doesnβt mean it was locked but I assume it is close, if not.) And then yes, things really do change drastically from week to week. This has to do with many things, including: competition (this matters a LOT and factors hugely in timing films), booking theatres (not always easy in summer when blockbusters rule), awards considerations, global distribution decisions, marketing campaign readiness, publicity opportunities (including long lead publicity which would typically need to be happening right now for an October release--and given the very photogenic subjects of this film, you'd definitely hope they would do some), festival premieres (if any), the new factor of trying to time things around Covid, whether youβll be having a red carpet event, and other strategic decisions. People wring their hands and stay up late at night sweating over these things. I have no personal connections with this film, so I haven't a clue what theyβre planning, but Iβd guess October is correct. Also, release dates can change due to various factors. Theyβre not set in stone. I'm sure the film will get an official date soon, though.

It was a B side collection of the 2000s as well as unreleased stuff, but Liam wouldn't agree on a tracklist. Still sounds like it could come out at some point though.

Thank you I don't think it is properly confirmed but from what Noel has indicated, the gigs will be released alongside the full length documentary.

Thank you What's being released in cinemas (and eventually DVD) is a feature-length concert doc built out of footage from the two nights. This was the original description in the press release from May (no official synopsis is out yet but should accompany the trailer when it's released.) βItβs a story driven entirely by the music, a rock and roll experience, told in the moment, like a visual stream of consciousness that is built around the extensive archive footage from the event. No on-camera interviews or unnecessary celebrity recollections.β

To think there's a photograph of Liam on Noel's social media now. Love it.
