Going by Matt Morgan’s podcast Noel doesn’t except to be doing anything live indoors any time soon. Said he’s had a couple of things for September cancelled. He says he has a few offers for things in America next summer that he’s considering and expects those to be the first things he does. Interesting. I hope it's not the case that there are no live indoor gigs in 2021 over there but I guess it is sadly possible if vaccination rates can't outpace the variants. (I've seen a bunch of bands with October/November dates in UK but we'll see what happens.) We just dropped most restrictions in California today but indoor concerts over 5000 people will require proof of vaccination and masks for now, though venues that Noel has played here are smaller than that so would be unrestricted. Outdoor events under 10,000 can go ahead without masks.

If Liam was to turn up with anyone else who were in the band back in 1996 then I would expect it to be Bonehead.

I can see it being Bonehead again, but then the way things are going we may just get Noel and Liam doing zooms separately

Maybe but even if it's just Noel and Liam doing zooms its still better than nothing I guess.

Considering the Doc is out on Sept 7th you would think a trailer is about to drop anytime now

The trailer of Supersonic came out a month before it hit the cinema's.

The trailer of Supersonic came out a month before it hit the cinema's. So we should get it in just over a month. Tidy

In the latest Matt Morgan podcast, Noel says it comes out in October. He also says Liam is the best thing in it, "Amazing", and sounds sincere about that. Of course when Matt asks "is that an olive branch?" he gets all flustered and insists no it is not.

Curious to see if it might go to any of the Fall film festivals -- Telluride or Toronto seem like possibilities, depending on lots of other things. The Fall release schedule is still entirely in chaos, so very few films have firm dates as of yet.

Shame they couldn’t just release bang on the anniversary but that would also be…. a Tuesday!

The film is not officially dated (anywhere in the world at this moment), but unlikely to be September 7th. I think there might have been confusion on the part of an Oasis site because the Furmanovsky coffee table book on Knebworth ("Two Nights That Will Live Forever") is definitely being released September 7th. Anyway, release dates change all the time for movies, especially smaller ones. Lots of variables, even more so this year.

But yeah I agree that the September date stems from some confusion and won’t end up being correct.

Listed as September 7th on US Amazon (release dates of both books and movies will vary by country, but still think that could be the source of date confusion, since it's an odd coincidence):
