well... Scotland is ruled out of the world cup after losing 0-1 with Belarus  Ireland needs a victory over Switzerland on wednesday if they want to reach world cup or play-offs (depending on France game vs. Cyprus)  and England is qualifyed to the world ;D cup after winning over Austria, combined with Netherlands defeating Czech Republic. Actually i think that game qualified Netherlands, Poland, England and Croatia to the world cup  . (lucky england, not playing well and already in the world cup due to all that crazy number combinations) |

good god, that performance, that first half, utterly embarassing that these guys are being played to play football (except Shay Given who had a absolute cracker)
fortunately switzerland are relatively shit, but if we make the play offs i can't see us getting thru
hope i'm wrong, but last night was just dismal. it was cyprus for fucks sake

it certainly isn't good news, but the fact remains that Duffer hasn't particularly done well for ireland since WCup '02, so with Andy Reid coming back from suspension, i think it isnt as much of the end of the world as people are making out We need a big performance from Robbie Keane |
