There is a fairly new (last 10 years or so) game called fantasy football in the U.S.

People join a group (we have 16 teams in mine) and you pick individual professional American football team players from different teams to make up your own team.

Each week that 'real' players statistics are combined with other players real stats and added up and see if they total more points than another guy in my group's team of professional players scores.

Most leagues play for money and last years winner won close to $2000.

My team (nicknamed 'Mucky Fingers') is 4-0 this season.

Phew!!!

Just type Fantasy Football anywhere on the net and you'll see what I am talking about.
