If it was against my team (Man Utd) it would be cheating (like all football fans I’m biased) but in general its gamesmanship as it was only time wasting, it relived pressure. It did not prevent a certain goal. It was the method that annoyed people. If he had gone to the ground and pretended he was injured it wouldn't have been unusual so people would not be talking about it as much. I think people are in shock that a footballer has had the audacity to use his brain.

Some people have to much time on their hands. You've of thought he'd of deliberatly stopped the ball on the line with his hand or something.

i dont see how its cheating, as the ring had no affect on the scoreline, or on how the game turned out, it didnt aid his performance, and to be honest, its pathetic of birmingham fans to notice this or blame this for them beings beaten, obvious steve bruce is the manager

As for Birmingham fans being pathetic for noticing something like that well it's pretty obvious to see isn't it? Our does one need a cataract operation? ;D We are not blaming Garcia for us not winning the game, he has done something which is wrong and he should brought to book about like it, that's like...the rules.
