The first song intro that came to my mind is "Like A Rolling Stone" by Bob Dylan. It's short but it starts the song perfectly. You're instantly hooked.
"Wouldn't It Be Nice" also came to my mind.

Ok guys, there is only one true winner here:
That transition at 0:52 from balalaika(?) to bass(while the chanting continues!) is just the smoothest shit ever, and before you even have time to start thinking what could possibly top this, you're introduced to the violin hook of all violin hooks. I rest my case. As far as tight and dynamic intros go, this is as good as it gets.
