I expected this after I saw helicopters, boats, lightning of the scene, cameramen and so on. It’s not a zoom gig, some money was spent so I’m ok with it

I predict it will be the generic setlist, with maybe one or two old songs ressurected. If I end up paying for this, I'll record the audio and share it here (if its allowed)

If Liam really wanted to give us fans something celestial this would be free But then again, a lot of people involved in a filmed production like this who deserve to be paid ... Exactly. People who work in music/live events have a hard time at the moment.

I don't mind the price that much. The music (and arts industry in general) has suffered a lot this year. Maybe Liam is a millionaire but think about the people working with him or around his music, if there aren't live gigs they're fucked. Also we all know that someone will find a way of recording and upload it, so everyone will get to watch it eventually.
What I don't like is the fact that they're using the word "live" when we all know it's pre-recorded, they're basically streaming a video, not broadcasting a live gig.

Liam may not need the money but for most of the other lads and lasses working on this it might be the only work they've had since march. Hope it works out for them. At least they are trying something. Dont know why people think Liam should work for free while paying all the expenses out of his own pockets. I mean I'm sure he loves his fans an all that but still...

I wouldn't criticize if it's a paid gig or something. but I can imagine bootleggers will sell it, so.. would need archive video for paid user and Official Blu-ray/CD/Digital release.

Can't get excited for it because of the bigger picture (yeah, missing the whole live experience too much), but I didn't expect this to be free at all Money will probably go to all the technicians and camera crew and they need it badly

I'm not criticizing it because it's a paid gig, I'm criticizing it because it's a paid gig that doens't offer anything new. Why should I spend some money on this when I can watch the ritz gig from last year on youtube?

The email does say he's doing songs we havent heard for a long, long time, so I'm kinda intrigued. If he performs Gas Panic, it will be worth it for me.

I for one don't like that there's a fee for a pre-recorded gig that's only gonna be streamed at a particular time (well, 4 slots to be precise).
I won't be able to watch the entire gig on a Saturday night, so should I pay, I'd like to be able to stream it whenever is convenient for me, like you do on Netflix for instance.
Since it's not a livestream why compel people to watch it at a particular time?
There's not even that much a sense of togetherness for the fans since there are 4 different slots to watch it, so everyone won't be discovering it at the very same time.

Lots of musicians are doing these ticketed live streams right now -- Paul Weller is doing one next week and he's also charging (and he's just doing a playing-in-the-studio thing, much less fancy in terms of production value and much less original of an experience, regardless of setlist.)
Also not sure people really understand how expensive helicopter crews and the like are ... nobody did that work for free, that's for sure. And they have no idea if people are going to buy tickets at a level that would even recoup their expenses (and clearly some fans won't be buying.)

The people moaning about paying this are the same people on Twitter saying #supportlivemusic etc. Most of it is probably going to crew members as well who are probably struggling in these times.
£16.50 for a 16 song Liam gig with some rare tunes played in a great setting doesn't sound bad to me at all, get some beers in and a takeaway on a Saturday night and enjoy it. Something to look forward to!

Don’t mind paying for this given the year the music industry has had. Although this should be streamed the weekend before - the 5th is the first Saturday after lockdown ends so would imagine a lot of people will be off out.

I would quite happily help live music but liam should have add at least 1 song and make it worthwhile. 20 euros could be nish to someone, they could be something to another one.

Buzzing for this. Really cool and unique idea for a gig! Also £16.50 is cheap as hell, considering a normal gig would set me back £80-£90 for 2 tickets, for this I only need one for me and my wife to watch it, plus you get send a commemorative ticket which is cool! I can't wait found Debbie's account

If you don't want to watch it, don't watch it, but don't complain because people in the music industry want paid for their work.

Unfortunately, if you read my post history, I say too many nice things about Noel's music to be a member of Liam's PR team

To be honest I am not a big fan of these kind of concerts where they charge the fans for watching a show on a computer. But the thing is that there were no concerts for the last nine months and the crew needs to make some money. So I will definitely buy a ticket and enjoy the concert. Hello, Hello, it's good to be back, it's good to be back

Behind the organization of a events, there's the whole staff of technicians and other workers who have not worked for months. There's nothing wrong with trying to find alternative solutions that allow the entertainment world to move forward.
