I tried searching for this on this section of the site but couldn't find anything. Anybody know what type of drum machine was used on the Hindu Times demo or at the beginning of D'You Know What I Mean live around 2002? I know basically nothing about drum machines and my apologies if this is a dumb question that is too hard to find the right answer. I'm just very interested in finding the sources of those sounds.

Wasn't the drum loop in DYKWIM from this? (slowed down)

I guess you 're looking for this:
I found it in a 200 pack samples of hip hop music, and there's also de 'Better Man', 'Go Let It Out' and otheres used by Noel like the 2nd live version of The Hindu Times, (included in the studio version as a very very backing track).

Will never forgive Noel for what he did to that Hindu Times demo.

Not that you asked about Go Let It Out, but the intro's drum loop is taken from Johnny Jenkins' recording of I Walk On Guilded Splinters:
I wonder when Noel first heard this one. We know he's a fan of Beck, and Beck's 1996 song Loser also features this drum loop. However, Noel is featured on Paul Weller's version of I Walk On Guilded Splinters, which was released in 1995.

I second the motion for finding the drum loop for the Hindu Times demo. That beat plus the massive guitars that come crashing in....one of the best moments in Oasis history IMO.

Thanks everyone for pointing me towards the way to the sounds of Go Let It Out, D'You Know What I Mean?, and the original Hindu Times. Sometimes these beats get stuck in my head the whole day and I was wondering where to find their origin!

It is also used in the I’m Outta Time remix (at 1:45 ish):

I assume you can't split DYKWIM down further, like turning off Liam's song track (and keep guitars, etc).

'Go Let It Out', 'The Hindu Times', 'Gas Panic', 'Better Man' and 'Force Of Nature' were also there. All this samplers came from old drums machine used by Dr.Dre, and others rappers.

An electronic keyboard with buttons for each sample?
