“This is as close as we're going to get this year to playing live and for us to play to people. For all of us to get back together was such a joy, and I didn't realise how much I'd missed it until we started playing together again” Paul Weller
With live shows sadly on pause for the foreseeable future, Paul & the band have been busy working out an alternative. Introducing: MID‐SÖMMER MUSIK. A 60‐minute special featuring performances of brand new never-before-heard songs, full band versions of tracks from 'On Sunset' & 'True Meanings', plus spoken interludes from Paul.
The performances were recorded during the summer, at the peak of the heatwave, and it was the first time the full band had been together in nearly 6 months. The show will stream globally online, with different tickets available depending on your timezone/location. After its premiere, it will also be available to watch back for 7 days after so you can watch it at your convenience as many times are you like.
Tickets go on sale this Friday October 16th at 9am. Check out the full FAQs on Paul's website for more info.

I’ll be getting involved but I don’t think they’ve said how much it costs yet?

I’ll be getting involved but I don’t think they’ve said how much it costs yet? I'll purchase a ticket, but they haven't mentioned how much it costs yet. I have my postponed multiple Weller gigs next year, but I don't see it will happen to be honest if I see the current Covid-19 situation, sadly.

Meant to have Newcastle, Edinburgh and hopefully Glasgow too. If we get to May next year and there’s still no gigs.... it just doesn’t bear thinking about!

AppleScruff, I just found out that the ticket for this even can be purchased via ticketmaster. Good luck! Once you purchased the ticket, the code to live streaming will be sent via email one hour before the streaming. It's the only gig ticket I get this year.

My initial reaction is that it’s a bit over priced for o be honest. But...a football game costs about the same in the U.K. so this isn’t exactly unreasonable. I will sign up later I think. Be great to hear some of the new songs live

Streaming finished, but I'm watching it again. Weller was making an another album during the first lockdown and quite some new songs from his upcoming album in 2021 have been played during this in-studio session in his own Blackburn studio. These songs were played: On Sunset Old Father Tyme Moving Canvas Failed Village Gravity Aspects More Testify Still Glides The Stream Rockets Mayfly Quality above quality. He should release it as a DVD! Well done, Mr. Weller!

I didn’t! Unfortunately I realised a few weeks back that it clashed with the Serbia vs Scotland football game. Now this was the chance for Scotland to qualify for a major tournament for the first time in 22 years and they managed it, so it worked out ok! I was under the impression you only had one slot to watch the stream and didn’t get to replay? Hoping it may pop up on YouTube. Gutted to miss new songs especially. I have been listening to Weller so much recently too. Last week I managed to buy a mint signed copy of his debut album on vinyl. Was over the moon

Also really enjoyed the Style Council documentary that was on Sky Arts on 31st October. Really well put together and a nice surprise at the end

Didn't watch, as I'm skint at the moment, but I'm excited to hear the new songs whenever that may be. I was surprised when the tracklist for On Sunset was announced and 'Failed' wasn't on it, except as a bonus track for the Japanese market. The excerpt he played for John Wilson on his podcast These Three last year sounded promising.

Totally missed this. Dont suppose there is a torrent doing the rounds yet? Would love to hear the new songs and would have been happy to pay.

Was over the moon Streaming is available for 7 days, until 19th November 8 PM (GMT). It was professionaly filmed in a great quality. Weller and his band really enjoyed to playing together after months. It might be released officially later. Songs from "On Sunset" sounds fantastic live and the new songs from his upcoming new album(!) next year sounds brilliant. His new album will be soul-full ever. "Still Guilds Stream" is truly beautiuful, Weller on his best I would say, Failed could have been The Rifels song and "Moving Canvas" is a rocker, it'll be great live. Congrats Scotland and well done with getting a mint signed copy of his first debut album! Weller is a easy going man in person, very loyal to his fans. He gave me hug and kissed on my cheek when I popped him outside before his gig
