When I first heard Archie Marry Me by Alvvays I immediately thought it sounded like Oasis with the discordant guitars underneath the elongated and soaring melodies. Got that combination of charm and carefree recklessness.

Usually bands that imitate the Oasis sound are so so fucking shit (The Enemy or Kasabian come to mind) but this tune feels like it's one that Noel circa 90s forgot to write which is probably the best compliment I can give it.

P.S. Just replace 'Archie' with Sally or something. Can't imagine Liam proposing to a guy.

Sleep Forever is a good one. I really enjoy that, in general, but it's cool how its a vibe Is reminiscent of All Around the World, if it was more low-key, and also like a cross between The Masterplan and like a Half the World Away.
