1994 in the United Kingdom. Just one week before the start of the Oasis phenomenon with Definitely Maybe, Portishead releases its first album, "Dummy". It will become one of the biggest records of the genre trip hop. Depending where you live in the world, your answer of what is Portishead signature track might be different. But if you live in Europe, there's a big chance your answer will be "Glory Box". What are your feelings/opinions on the song ?

This one is more of a banger than I realized. I love the slinky, sexy atmosphere on this song and the amazing guitar in it. It's some dark, future blues that has brooding electronic, trip hop undertones that just makes it so good. Fantastic tune.

Remember Steve Lamacq and Jo Wiley playing this all the time on The Evening Session and the other tracks from Dummy just before the Tsunami of Britpop.
Iβm sure Geoff Barrow was one of these folk that was saying the world was going to end on a particular date. Maybe he was just taking the piss.
Dummy is a class album. So different to most other stuff that was released around that time.
