Ah, "Fade Into You". For some american users who were alive during the 90's, this may be ring a bell. "Fade Into You" was written by Hope Sandoval and David Roback and was released as a single in April 1994. It became a minor hit, especially in America where it reached the top 50 (#44) in the Billboard Hot 100. But that's its use in various movies and shows that cemented this song as a 90's classic.
Spotify streams: 131,984,135
Do you know this song ? If so, do you remember when you first heard it ? What are your thoughts/feelings on the song ?

This is one of the songs to revisit every time I feel a little down or melancholic. A song to get lost in.

Discovered her recently so like 10 of these 131 mln streams are mine. Lovely, gives me Lana vibes, but after watching 1 of her live shows I can tell she is better singer.

Such an amazing, beautiful song. And such an amazing sonic landscape! It'd be high on the list of my "(almost) perfect" songs. It's astonishing to see Hope Sandoval singing in the live versions, I do not know if I've ever seen anyone so visibly uncomfortable with performing in front of a crowd. Must be downright terrifying for very introverted or anxious artists.

I've got to say I got into it with Inhaler's version, but still nothing beats the original Such a melancholic tune, great lyrics, great sound, great voice

Fantastic song. Nice piece of breezy dream pop that never gets old, especially with her vocals and the lovely slide guitar. 10/10 perfect for me.

The only Mazzy Star song I know. Very pretty. Check out their album "So Tonight That I Might See". It's kind of a dark and slow album, so might not be to everyone's taste, but I think you might like it !

I love the closing track, too (quite some Velvet Underground vibe in the droning) But I generally like dark, nocturnal records with a female singer (Long Gone Before Daylight by Cardigans is in the same category for me)
