Just Getting Older and Idler's Dream. Two songs which I've never really rated and never listen to. I find them boring to be honest,

Just Getting Older is mediocre indeed, but I find Idler's Dream brilliant Beautiful lyrics and being piano driven makes it different from the rest of the Oasis catalogue

Lyla is another one for me. I've never got the love for it. The song is ok but I've never rated it as one of the best tracks on Don't Believe The Truth or one of Oasis's best singles.

Live Forever is a great tune but I've never quite got why it always wins the fan votes so comfortably. I like it okay, but it's not a big favorite of mine. I suspect the popularity is partly down to the sentiment in the song. Who can resist the carefree optimism of a line like "You and me / We're gonna live forever"? Also, as soon as those fan votes get participants beyond the hardcore Oasis fanbase, then the best-known songs obviously have a big advantage.

Only cos of GMEX I think. Don't think the studio version gets much love.

Easy, Columbia.
Same tune, nonsense pointless lyrics, tired droning recording to a song that is out of place on the album

Slide Away
Good but massively over played and now boring.

I would say Wonderwall even if i know it's not the fans' favourite. But it's the more popular Oasis single worldwide... Obviously it's not a bad song at all but clearly not the best on WTSMG and not in my top 30 from Oasis.

I think Acquiesce is a good call. The studio version is not very good. Some of the live versions are (Earls Court, I like G-Mex, too), but Liam always "forgets" a verse Plus he has a tendency to over-snarl it, and Noel, as someone mentioned, is in foghorn mode.

Its a matter of opinion of course, but Id maybe say Half The World Away? I like it quite a lot, but donβt find it to be an utterly flawless classic like some say it is. Agree. I honestly never listen to it, it wouldn't be anywhere near my Top 20 favourite Oasis tunes of all time. I also can't stand SCYHO. I find it so cringey! It would possibly make my Top 25 or 30. SCYHO is peaks and valleys for me, I love parts of it, but I never liked Noelβs call-and-response vocals in the verses, since i was 6 ive always found them a bit cringe-worthy like you say. From after the third verse (about 2 mins in), I can listen to it til the end.

Anything from the DBTT era. All those songs, Noel written or not, are massively overrated and not that great. Lyla is a straight plodder and Turn Up the Sun isn't even a good song, never understood why it got praise.

It's ok but even that is a straight up ripoff of another tune from years earlier. I know Mucky Fingers was Velvet Underground but can't remember Part of the Queue. Edit: Golden Brown by the Stranglers was the song.

I think TIOBI's the standout track from that era, one of my favourite Oasis songs

The Importance of Being Idle is the only DBTT-era song worth remembering. A couple of others are alright but nothing special. The rest are just rubbish. Honestly don't understand how that album received such a significantly more positive reception than Heathen Chemistry, something must just have been in the water in 2005.

It was designed to be a ladrock hit and it was successful in its mission, just not a song that creatively did them any favors.
