Oasis at Knebworth in 4K is the holy grail for me.
We can’t ever get Earls Court nor Maine Road in HD (filmed on tape, sadly) - and this is Oasis at their zeitgeist peak even if I agree, those earlier two shows were better.

I agree, although Knebworth is fantastic, he is not at the level of other Oasis gigs, mainly from the vocal of Liam. Gigs like Oslo 1997 and other Be Here Now tours are better! Although it would be biblical to see images in full hd of Knebworth or complete Finsbury Park 02 I would love a dvd of one of one of Oasis's Finsbury Park concerts and it's a shame that the only footage we have from one of those concerts is Little By Little. However I'm not too sure if they'll ever release one though.

I've always really loved the Knebworth gigs, so I would be happy with a HD release of both nights + bunch of extra features. I've recently watched 'Cast No Shadow' from the first night...and it really is an amazing performance.
However, I understand why many would prefer to see something else released. We've seen a quite a bit of Knebworth footage already, so seeing something new would probably be more interesting.

I'd want the 'Operation Gold' documentary - and there's obviously plenty of footage from backstage from the day. The gig itself, I agree, not their best, but there are some songs (Columbia for example) which sound brilliant. It’s crazy this hasn’t been released yet. It sounds great. Noel: “We made a film of Knebworth. It’s called Operation Gold – a documentary that’s never been put out. There were 15 cameramen travelling with fans on the train from all over the country, they filmed the police meeting rooms and all that. It cost us a fortune to make – it will probably get released on some anniversary. The gig was recorded properly with cameramen in the crowd filming from the fans’ point of view. We were going to release it as a live album but I said it was too soon. But I think people will want to look back on Knebworth and say, ‘Yeah, that was quite mental what happened to all of us.’” (quoted in John Robb’s The North Will Rise Again: Manchester Music City (1977-1996), p. 380) X

maybe knebworth 2 nights are only true HD proshot in 1990s? I'm not sure about Loch Lomond and Cork.

I can't understand why Oasis never released more live videos/dvds than what they already have. There must be plenty of other pro shot concerts which have never been released.

Perhaps a Knebworth documentary would be the better option, see how it all came together, how Oasis got to that level and throw in a few notable songs from the 2 nights?

In the UK they've been playing stadium since 1996 and I believe they've all had screens showing a mixture of live and visuals.
I'd love to know if these shows were captured by the band and put in an archive or if they were simply there as part of a show.
I guess with everything the tape is expensive and where do you keep it all?
Be a shame if the camera feeds weren't captured at least which could be used in future.
The Little by Little video says to me there is footage of Finsbury Park, wouldn't surprise me if they captured that one.

I personally would love a Knebworth release on dvd. But whether it will ever be released is another question. Maybe not if Guigsy and Alan won't agree to using their footage. But I'm not bothered about a cd release as I've already got them on bootleg anyway. Matt Whitecross said at the time it was just because they couldn’t agree financial terms, I don’t see why that should be a closed door forever. But I agree that it’s not viable to put it out until they reach an agreement.

Let's hope that one day they come to a financial agreement and release Knebworth and maybe other concerts if they can.

What are they doing with Knebworth anyway. I legit don’t understand why it hasn’t been released - wtf are they waiting for, the 50th year? Ridiculous.

I think they choose for Maine Road/Earls Court in 1996 instead of Knebworth. I'm not sure why... guigsysEstring , does anybody know something about this? In 2000 we got Wembley and in 2007 Manchester. Let's hope for Knebworth in the summer of 2021 on it's 25th anniversary.

I feel sure that Noel mentioned in more recent years that they were going to release Knebworth but as we know they never did. It's probably got something to do with the financial terms.

After Liam mentioned the Knebworth doc during some interview I thought that they are gonna release it in 2021, the anniversary and everything, it totally makes sense. But it’s already September and no news, no announcement. So it’s unlikely I guess. Because of Covid or some original members of the band don’t want to give their permission to use their images? Or it’s just the oasis mgmts being disappointing yet again?
