It’s so slow. Jesus fucking Christ that chorus.
Nah man, Hey Now is easily one of their worst (especially from their 90s material).

Someone should make it a little punchier and more concise...

Not a fan of the chorus but the verses are profound enough to save the song from being meh.

Not a fan of the chorus but the verses are profound enough to save the song from being meh. Yeah I do like the verses, but the entire thing just plods and drags along. I almost always skip it. Not anywhere near as bad as TNOR, mind. Fuck that song.

I think it works because it's just someone thinking to themselves.

The thing with "Hey Now" is that it doesn't have an "anthemic" chorus or hook like the rest of the album. I think that's why it had the reputation of being the "worst" track of the album for many years. I still think it's a good track and rather unique in the Oasis catalogue.

Doesn't suck, it's actually pretty good, just a tad too long and gets overlooked because on an album that could be some bands' (lots of bands I'd say) "Greatest Hits"
And that "And as it fell from the sky/I asked myself why/Can I never let anyone in?" hits hard

I wouldn't say it totally sucks, but its not a favourite of mine.
I'd call it the weakest full song on the album. Musically I don't mind it, but even as a little kid I never really liked the lyrics. And tempo wise it is a bit of a drag.
But I love differences of opinion. Part of what makes music so fun to talk about for me.

Apparently Noel played all instruments on this song (apart from the drums) because Bonehead and Guigsy could not get the tricky time signatures. It’s definitely an album track

I didn't really appreciate this song at first, but it keeps on growing on me. I like how it's introspective.

Not the best, but a very good song. Always felt special to me and it also fits perfectly in the context of the album.

It's a good tune, very melancholic, love the verses in particular and the chorus is OK.
Way, way too fucking long though. Like, unforgivably long. Noel, it's fine to write songs with an ABAB structure, but you can't make them 6 minutes long.

I like it, but If I were Noel, would put Acquiesce or Masterplan or Round Are Way on album.

Doesn’t have any flaws other than length maybe. Tbh I listen to it only when I listen WTS?(MG) track by track but always enjoy it. Adds to the album’s diversity, it’s not like every song should be an anthem...

I can understand why some wouldn't like this track...But I think it's a pretty good, especially if your in a more pensive mood.

I actually like this song and always have. I don't think that it's too long at all. I mean it's no longer than any of the songs on Be Here Now which has always been my least favourite Oasis album.

The verses are great, some of the best lines Noel wrote imo.
Great guitar solo too.
Chorus is meh though.

Ooh I love the 1st part of the second verse!
The first thing I saw As I walked through the door Was a sign on the wall that read It said you might never know That I want you to know What is written inside of your head

I always loved Hey Now, but it does suffer from having one verse too many.
